Good to see a new update to the firmware. However, the two most significant issues since day one for me are songs playing in alphabetical order, and the very small font which is almost impossible to read if your eyes are a little older than the engineers....
Still good to know Fiio is looking at the M3

@floydo  I don't know if this will help you or not, but this link is for an old post of mine in the DX50 thread where I give links and directions to Drivesort.  Drivesort may fix a problem with alphabetical vs file order.

The problem is the files do not play in track (metadata) order, but in alpha order from their title. This was an issue over 10 years ago when metadata wasn't quite so understood by developers....but now??? Drivesort would help with folder order.  I had not seen that program
Thx

Since a 2nd gen M3 is not in the cards at present, could you update existing M3?

Different colors.

Six pairs of ear foams.

An updated or EM3 2nd gen bundled in.

A light weight case? in diff colors?

I already own a M3 but would love to acquire an updated one, even if cosmetically.

Thanks.

Dear RameshK,

Thank you for your support to M3 and FiiO. But those you mentioned may not be added, sorry.

Best regards

If you already own an M3 and like it's package, why don't you give Hidizs A60P/ Shanling M1 a try? They have similar build size with much more functionality build in, ie USB DAC, Bluetooth, better UI, etc. I think it'd be a fine upgrade.

From reading the thread, I'd gathered that replaygain works on the M3 if the files are tagged via foobar or a similar program. Is this not the case? Is there a settings option that has to be selected for the M3 to recognise the tags?

Was gapless never implemented in any of the firmware updates? I updated to 1.9 straight away but no joy on that front either...

Dear toddAO,

The M3 doesn't have replay gain and gapless function.

I'm using a 128gb SD card, only filled at 30gb at the moment. Each track that play has a couple of seconds of lags at some point, like glitches. It would sound like the RAM is out of memory or the processor is overloaded. Weird. Any help ? Card is exfat format and class 10 sdxc.

Dear noknok23,

You may try to format the card to FAT32 to see whether it helps?

Best regards

Actually I still have the bug although less often. Dear Fiio, is there any hope for a new theme? Something easy to read. White font on black background. Thicker font. Text only. No image, no cover. Think quick and easy. That would be a dream.
