Is there already a picture from the M1 Model which will be released in 2016 ?
I want either the M3 or M1, but have not seen the M1 yet.

When will we get new information about the M3 (releasedate, versions, colours, maybe an video with the player in action)?

M1 is like shuffle w/o screen, so the clip at the back due to its small size.....

White???? Why white? Why not black, or black plus a choice of other colors? I hope thec M1(clip on model) will be available in black, and have 25+(40+ would be much better) hours of battery life. If it does, and has a card slot, it will probably be much more popular than the Sandisk Clip Sport. I have been a Sandisk player fan, however I look forward to becoming a fan of Fiio players, as Sandisk's most recent players are somewhat disappointing.

the way James posted that made it sound as if other colors were soon to follow. The champagne X1 came after the silver version.

yes, M3 is too big to clip

I disagree. I compared the measurements of the M3 to those of the Sandisk Clip Sport I have. The M3 is very close to the same width, and just slightly taller. The M3 is thinner. The M3 is imo small enough to be used as a clip on player when placed in a case with a clip on the back.

The M3 will be a great step up from the Clip Sport though, as the Clip Sport has separate databases for internal and for card memory, and the Clip Sport is limited to just 4,000 songs for the internal database, and 4,000 songs for the card database with the latest firmware. I look forward to getting an M3, and also an M1 when they become available. I do hope Fiio will also make some players with 40+ hours of battery life as well, and look forward to getting those. I like having several inexpensive players, and haven't bought a player in 18 months, so I am well overdue for some. Some of my oldest players are giving short battery life(only around 5 hours, down from 15 hours originally) and will soon be retired. They are 6 years old though, and have gotten plenty of use.

That remains to be seen. The M3 uses virtually the same RAM limited SoC as the Clip Sport (ATJ2129 vs ATJ2127), so the 4k song limit might be a case of a quart not fitting in a pint pot.

I believe if Fiio wants to make a clip then can do so after the launch. This is set to release in November so I'm sure most everything is probably complete. Thanks James, you guys are the best.

Agreed!  Wait and see what options are available once everything is released.  FiiO isn't going to be able to make a device that meets each person's needs, nor would I expect them to.  If this device doesn't work for a person or fit their needs, perhaps that person should look at something else.  Looks like another great product from FiiO to go along with all the other just released and soon to be released products.  Keep up the good work FiiO!
