What's the point of this?

It's tiny. 16 hours battery life. It will probably sound quite good (at least as good as the clip zip - if not better). And it's only $55.

What's not the point of this?

One of the biggest things I see changed here is the scroll wheel now absent. And from using players with touch pad buttons in the past (Colorfly C3) this is certainly the way to go. They last a life time and rarely need a quick wipe to remove finger prints. All those scroll wheel intolerant peoples prayers have been answered. And might I suspect this new button layout might be seen on future FiiO daps too. I can't get over the size, we're talking Sansa Clip propertions.

Really impressed!

it is not touch pad buttons but hardware buttons! the mechincal wheel took too many room so it is not good to keep the size.

Looks interesting. @JamesFiiO, would I be correct in assuming HO impedance will be low like other Fiio DAPs?

HO only, or will it have LO, too?

Yes, I know it's tiny. Perhaps a software LO switch when volume is cranked?

yes, very small HO impedance and maybe LO when volume is max like AK.

Hardware buttons work for me too!

And I see you've managed to create a fair percentage of screen real-estate by doing so.

OK, we already known there are so many cheap MP3 player in the market, but as you may known all of them are one chip solution which means they has limited audio performance. also we believe we can make better in the firmware and UI  and also quality control cause

we are not bought PCBA from design house and just assemble it . and we known people need such small MP3 at outdoor . so , that is why M3 appears.

BTW, just don't want people discussin it in our X7 thread.
