So with a screen only 4cm wide, I can see this working much better with character-based Asian languages rather than alphabet-based Western languages.

I don't need a hi-res player, I ended up selling my X1 but the sound quality was really good so I imagine this will be too. $55 is approximately £40-£45 in the UK, will go for one when released. 8GB built in memory then space for a 64GB card, that will be brilliant if the UI is like the X1.

Looks really nice, and the buttons remind me of the Colorfly C3. It's good to get a player that could actually be sold here in Mexico for once. It's gonna retail for a $100 here for sure, but at least it's going to be available.

what a great small player, the only thing I regret is there is no physical button at least for prev-next-play/stop...

it is not touch pad buttons but hardware buttons! the mechincal wheel took too many room so it is not good to keep the size.
