1) Why doesn't the M3 pro have Bluetooth? Shanling Q1 is priced almost the same around 110usd and has Aptx and LDAC. It'd have been better if M3 pro had wireless connectivity.
2) Why didn't you feature ESS SABRE 9219 DAC ? It's the latest upgrade launched in November last year.

Hi,

Currently, our M5 and mobile phone have already supported Bluetooth. The M3PRO is targeting the student market so the price should not be too expensive.Adding the Bluetooth function will lead to increase of cost and retail price. Besides, adding just the SBC/AAC Bluetooth may not give big advantage. Therefore we did not add the Bluetooth in the M3Pro.

Best regards

Sorry to be a downer but I don't get the thought process. Why, in 2020, don't students want BT. They use phones as much as anybody so probably have BT head/earphones esp. with the headphone jack being less available. If they don't have a lot of money then SBC/ACC is fine cause they might not have paid for more expensive models of head/earphones that do aptX, LDAC, etc.. If they want a bigger screen than M5 they have to give up BT or pay more for M6. Think students will more likely skip this cause it doesn't have BT or FM in it. Value is getting more features for the money.

Thanks mate. You're absolutely correct! The Shanling Q1 is priced similarly and has Bluetooth as well as much longer battery life! It's handy hand has everything any student would want in an MP3 player. What I like about M3PRO is the addition of calculator and ebook reader. Fiio please listen to your customer's feedback and include Bluetooth as it's the most crucial feature these days also, 15 hours battery life is no good these days. Your M3 was a phenomenal player back in the day.

Hi,

We may have the M3Pro Bluetooth version according to the feedback from users. But the price will not stay same.

Best regards

THIS is why I love you FIIO! thank you for this consideration! Just two things, please include Bluetooth 5.1 (latest) as many headphones these days support 5.1 that also help better positioning. Secondly , make the battery life at least 20hrs...(Shanling Q1 is 21hrs) thirdly if possible include ess sabre 9219 latest.
Believe me students these days can pay a few dollars extra for the added convenience!
By the way I'm a proud owner of 4 fiio products the first of which was M3 which made me fall in love with your company. It's legendary!
So 1) Bluetooth 5.1 (no need Aptx or LDAC)
2) battery life at least 20 hrs
3) ESS sabre 9219 (latest)

I don't think there is a need for BT5.1 as there is no real improvement to justify added cost. 5.0 is just fine but I do think if you guys could hit 20 hours that would be something we would pay the extra $$. I have a $25 mp3 with BT5.0 and it is rock solid. Doesn't drop, connects quick, my Meeture true wireless get the full 100 feet distance. Solid cheap, good performing BT5.0 chips out there now. One last thing I would like is the EQ to still work over BT. All kinds of music and podcasts of different file and recording quality so nice to have some adjustment. A couple of my little clip players can adjust EQ over BT so a pricier Fiio should be able to do it if the $25- $30 players can.
