It was formated in my PC and loaded with all my music files.
Qobuz storage is assigned to SD card and downloading music is painfully slow. It also takes a long time to buffer a track from a different album that the one being downloaded.
This is card written speed limited as WiFi shows 280ish Mbs. No issues when the card is in my galaxy note 10+.
Copying, moving and deleting files to and from the card takes much much longer than when doing the same operations in my other devices.
Please see attached image of the performance test I have just taken.
Please, search somewhere here on HF discussion about Qobuz offline storage. It has some unique specific for DRM purposes, e.g. it stores files not by “track based” principle but split to multiple small files (I don’t remember exact size, but very small, like 5Mb each part or close to that), so, 1000 tracks offline Qobuz library will have many-many thousands of 5Mb parts.
Many users reported their concerns about that but Qobuz responded that’s their way to protect downloaded offline music.

Ah OK, didn't realise this was in the context of streaming. I only use the storage for local/off-line files. Did you try to use it in this way, with local files to try and localise the issue?
Yes, trying to delete files or move archives from one folder to another takes much longer than doing the same in my computer.
For instance, the albums I downloaded with the previous M17 do not load in the new installation. Tried to delete them (76GB) to free up space. I gave up after 30 minutes (just 20% completed). Loaded the card to my computer deleting 60GB took 5 minutes to complete.
This issue was present in the old M17 too.

That maybe the case but, I used this card with my galaxy note 10+ extensively with no such speed issues.
*EDIT*
Ok.
So, I activated developer options.
Changed Logger buffer size to 16m per log (From Off)
Changed background process limit from standard to at most 4.
Enabled Force 4x MSAA.
Disabled USB Audio Routing.
Enabled Force Allow Apps on External
Enabled Tethering hardware Acceleration.
Enabled WIFI Scan Throttling.
Disabled Mobile data Always Active
Instant change in speed.
Qobuz loads fast, with offline downloads and track buffering now working as it did in my old Note 10. Happy chappie!

Apologies if you already said this somewhere -- what cable do you use to connect the USB-A on the power bank to the DC input on the M17?
I use this one
it’s from Amazon UK.
I hope that helps

@FiiO , can you please comment on noise between tracks when I use all to dsd and streaming
Dear friend,

Are you playing the music in different sampling rate but having this problem?

The M17 is more powerful and has a high supply voltage. So even if a mute circuit is added, in some cases the mute effect is still unsatisfactory. We will try our best to improve in later firmware update.

Best regards

Two questions: what are the benefits of keeping the DC 12V power supply and another 5V power supply connected at the same time? Can you connect PO balanced to an external headphone amplifier to increase the output power? Thank you
Dear friend,
Do you mean 12V power supply connecting to DC port, and the 5V one connecting to the USB 3.0port? If you are not choosing the DC/BAT switch to DC, the DC power supply will not charge the M17 at that time.

M17 is powered by extra DC power, there will be difference in SQ between battery power and DC power. usually we will say that the DC has unlimited power so the dynamic will be better and bass will be more impact.

Best regards

Hi all,
I just received my Fiio M17, I'm very very happy with it but
I have a weird behavior when I am on DC power.
Indeed, the charging of the battery starts for a few seconds then stops and the% of the battery decreases (near 35%) as if the battery was used instead of DC power. I have the impression that the DC power supply is defective. I have checked the cable connection and changed the wall outlet but nothing changes. Is there a particular manipulation?
Has anyone seen the same thing?
Thank you for your help

Did you try DC switch and then to plug it in?

You can't use the DC power and the USB-C port beside the DC input at the same time.. you must use the other USB-C port, otherwise the M17 won't be charged.
