With "Sample Rate Display" turned off, the indication light for the above MQA streamed song from Tidal displays green on the RGB Indicator

You should enable bitrate indication on the top bar

Also that's not yellow but looks green, and looks like you're running in all to DSD mode are you?

All to DSD is off.

I already have a Singxer SA-1 for Arya v2, will this M17 get me anything better or different in terms of sound quality? I read that many of you have a very positive experience with this machine, especially in the enhanced over ear mode, I am very interested to know if I should consider one. I already have a M15. Sometimes it is the software that is causing the issue, as it assumes that there will be a resampling - even sometimes the software itself does the resampling. I know Amazon had this issue before. Qobuz has no issues, so I assume it is currently a limitation of Apple software.

As it's difficult to make a perfect A/B comparison, I won't claim that it's 100% sure, but I was surprised, as I don't really trust in the pseudo cleaning power systems, I was feeling the ifi unit was bringing improvements, so I kept it and didn't return it to amazon.

The M17 + ifi iPower Elite + DCA Stealth is really what I was looking for years .. I bought so many portable AMPs and DAPs that were not really satisfying, that I was a bit hopeless .. this year end is a really different, as things are really changing now for people who like music but still want to be free to move where they want in their house, garden, office, trains, planes.

I already bought a ifi ipower elite as power supply which seems to bring some nice improvements to the sound compared to the stock power supply (something like faster and clearer low frequencies impacts ?)

Less noise often means more composed bass, blacker background, rounder outlines and more color in general. Many folks who swap their stock PSUs for aftermarket units (not only ours!) also report less edgy and piercing sound that's more enjoyable to listen to.

Hello, I am really tempted to try the M17. Currently I use mostly the Lotto Paw Gold Touch TI edition, does anyone have both machines that can help me to understand if it makes sense to change (keeping both but adding the M17 as the main source)? I like to listen music with a lot of details and my favorite IEM and the CA Andromeda and the UM mest MkII, mostly progressive metal/rock.

My fiio m17 dont have enhanced circum headphone mode even if it is plugged....

It worked three days ago....

Yes, I use the Vorzamp Pro 3 and I love the output. I wanted to check if the FiiO M17 amplification stage comes close to it or not.
M17 isn’t a slouch at all

I have a big problem with MQA files. Playing MQA via Tidal displays a blue light and there is no MQA sign to be seen in the statusbar.

I can, however, play downloaded MQA in correct format via UAPP.

Are you sure you didn't set it that way in Tidal app? (Settings > Quality > Streaming and Settings > Quality > Download)

You can define streaming quality and download quality, check that both are set to Master first
