Fiio already released a limited edition of 20 units of the M17 which had 6GB RAM and 128GB Drive. They kept that one pretty quiet. No Stainless Steel or Copper versions coming though.

My M17 is in, I haven't setup or updated it yet, but I have just listened to it via the BAT mode for a while. coming from the FIIO M15, so I'll wait for a few days of burning in before listening to it carefully.

Yeah, i guess it has tube amp going for that, but sincerely....i would rather have crystal clear sound than anything. And the fact it is a portable home setup makes it a monster!

Are you suggesting that the N8ii doesn't provide crystal clear sound playback?

The N8ii dual ROHM DACs are very transparent, revealing and micro detailed.

Both DAPs are very capable. My preference is M17 is DC power, enhanced over-ear headphone mode for both IEMs and headphones. N8ii doesn't need to be plugged into a DC charger to sound its best, leaving M17 to desktop duty.

Ahoy! A question, if you don't mind: have you had a chance to drive your Signature Pro with the M17? If so what did you think?

I ask because I will likely be picking some up soon and listen to a LOT of electronic (dance) music. Mainly Drum n Bass, with some Techno, Electro and House (in that order).

I ordered an M17 after a ton of research for a mobile hifi solution around the house and traveling. I'm new to DAPs, still learning. Several options out there, but I had to pick one to experiment and learn with.

Not many DAPs have built-in Roon or Qobuz and I'm assuming that's because you can download the apps from the Google Play store. Is that an accurate assumption? I trust that's the case with the M17.

I'll load up a micro SD card with audio files, but streaming would be awesome too.

Will use with Meze Advar IEMs and also try Meze Elites and DCA Stealths (at home). New to IEMs too.

But N8ii is almost twice the price.
