Anyone having trouble with the M15S and Qobuz? Starting Qobuz results in freezing screen and locks up sometimes requiring reboot. Most often the “Q” starts to rotate and then it gets stuck.

Starting and restarting Qobuz multiple times eventually gets the App up and running properly. Happens about 50% of the time. Running the latest version and don’t have ANY problems with the Qobuz app on other devices. Only the M15S…

Any issues for you?

Thanks

Rich

P.S. Working on my assessment of the M15S with the HE 1000 Stealth - interesting. Stay tuned. :)

Look forward for your impression.

Sorry I dont use Qubuz. I use Apple Music for lossless. Among Spotify, Tidal, amazon and Apple (Apple is the most stable and downloading music never every got crash or hang up.) all other apps either stop somewhere and have to resume. Apple apps just works.

I find the M15s DAP the most complete all in one ever since they have the PEQ built in and the dedicated QCC 5124. This means the m15s works like a dedicated Bluetooth receiver like the Q7 but in a smaller package. All other DAP out there do not have the QCC 5124 and the all in one wifi bluetooth lags really bad. If someone know any DAP (beside the M17) that also has the dedicated Bluetooth chip in a DAP, please let me know. I have been looking for one.

What's your use case using the DAP as a bluetooth receiver ?

I primarily use Qobuz inside of Roon/Roon Arc and havent had issues. I just installed Qobuz app on my M15S and also had no issues logging in and playing music. I also closed the app a few times and reopened and didnt have any issues starting it.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Not sure why Qobuz is finicky starting up on my M15.

1. Install a third-party music app. (check in the screen menu to display the sampling rate).
2. Disable the "Fiio Music" application in the settings menu of application management.
3. Turn off the device.
4. Turn on the device.
5. Start playback with the installed third-party application.
6. Pay attention to the top status bar.
7. This can be done without connecting headphones.
8. Check the playback via SPDIF.
9. I am seeing these problems on different M15S devices.
10. On M11Plus, M17 devices. There are no such problems.
Another problem.
When copying a file (m3u8) to an SD card from the internal memory. By regular means, a failure occurs.

Looking at going to the next level of my DAP journey, currently have the Fiio M11 plus, and wanted to know if jumping to the M15s would be a worthy upgrade
Depends on your headphones and usage. For me, Its an upgrade all around. I bought the M15s mostly on the Dedicated Bluetooth chip and the 10 band global Eq options. Oh i just learn that I can also set frequency to any number I like. So I start playing with EQ from oratory since it has the Q adj as well.
