@FiiO Amazon Music & Amazon Music do not connect to the internet…broken?

I’ve reinstalled the applications multiple times and although they allow me to sign in they do not proceed to connect to the music services. Amazon gets stuck in the section to select the country (Australia) and when I select it it loops back to the same page. Apple say it’s offline.

The player is connected to the internet via wifi. I can access everything via google chrome but the music services are not.

Please help!

Dear friend,

Sorry that I tried this APP and it could not be logged in maybe because of the region limitation. If reinstall fails to help, you may try the Amazon music app in older version to check again? And maybe contact the support of Amazon music app for check?

Best regards

As promised, here are a few impressions with the M15S and HE1000 Stealth. Most of my listening was done with the M15S in the highest gain setting or in desktop mode using a balanced Moon Audio Black Dragon cable.

Let me say upfront that the M15S drives the HE1000 Stealth without strain and provides grip for unrestrained dynamics and solid bass. The Stealth is not particularly hard to drive and is much more efficient than my trusty HE400 which almost always require an external amp to sound their best.

The M15S delivers on the Stealths ability to resolve ultra fine detail without a hint of strain or extra harshness. Bass is well controlled tight and tuneful, never feeling obviously restrained. Vocals in particular feel just right, intimate and detailed with a wide soundstage.

In summary I can confidently say most will find little to fault in the ability of the M15S to drive the HE1000 Stealth. Getting this level of performance, dynamics and punch from a “portable” rig is absolutely incredible.

Now for the other shoe. One evening, in an effort not to bother my wife during a listening session, I plugged the Stealth into my Benchmark HPA4 which I primarily use as a stereo preamp. Wow! Now sure what magic is going on between these two but I’ve never heard better. I now have a headphone stand next to the Benchmark. :)

So the Stealth certainly can sound better but I feel that is a testament to how good a headphone it is as opposed to any real shortcoming of the M15S. When listening to the Stealth straight from the M15S headphone jack, I never feel it lacks anything significant or a need for wanting more. Just my two cents….

Hello everyone,
I have one question regarding the M15S.
¿Does it support UAC 1.0 to connect it to a PS5 or a Nintendo switch? I know other Fiio products such as the Q15 supports UAC 1.0 and 2.0.
In the case of the M15S it says it is connected when in USB DAC mode and connected to a Ninendo Switch but it does not output any sound and the sound comes from the console speakers themselves.
Thanks.

Hello,
a future M15S user here, ordered it today as a replacement for my M11Pro. As I can't wait until I can check it out myself I have a question:
Right now I am using the M11Pro with the Fiio FDX, but as I find the treble a bit laid back with this combination, I changed to the big treble nozzles on the FDX and replaced the copper/silver/gold cable to pure silver cable. Now I find it better balanced.
I have read several reviews, and it seems the M15S has a focus on the Mids with laid back bass and treble? Can someone confirm this sound signature?
Many thanks.

Dear friend,

The M15S does not support UAC 1.0 mode.

Hello everyone,
One more question regarding the M15S.
If I connect it to a PC in USB-DAC mode to a USB port that has 0.5amps, desktop mode will not be available since it does not have enoguh power and since the M15S only has one USB C connector I tried using a USB C splitter with one port suporting fast charge and another for data transfer but then the connection with the PC in USB-DAC mode does not establish.
Is there a way to make this work?
I tried with these two adapters and I get the same result with both:

Thanks.

Hello everybody,
I need help or moral support:
I bought the M15S a month ago to replace my Plenue1. It worked very well, but since last week, it freezes completely: Impossible to do anything, the user interface is blocked.
After a thousand reboots I managed as best I could to reset it, and I even upgraded to version 1.03....But nothing changes.....There I don't see what more I can do. ...Anyone have an idea or a tissue?

the only events that happened during this tragic week are:

Firmware update (no problem)
New SD + New headset: there problem. Obviously I removed the card in question, formatted the M15s storage, cleared the cache of the Fiio Music app......And still not.

I use this one and am able to both charge with desktop mode and use a USB-DAC. (This isn't my normal setup, just testing it)

This specific cable doesnt seem to connect to my computer though, and only works with my DACs

Thanks for the reply, although I don’t think this will work for my use case. In this splitter, one usb c is for charging and the other usb c only accepts headphones and no data transfer with a pc so I wouldn’t be able to connect it to the pc and use it as an audio interface in usb dac mode for the pc from one usb c port while charging it from a QC charger from the other usb c port.
I’m starting to believe that the M15S does not support this OTG function. The M15S does support audio out from usb and thats why the adapter you mentioned outputs audio from the dedicated usb c headphone out but i think it does not support 2 way comunication why another device when an OTG adapter is connected.

Forget this use case. I tried many cables, hubs, dongles... nothing works (thanks amazon for return policy) ,you have to choose to have usb dac mode only or desktop mode only. The only use case with both mode working at the same time was with my intel laptop with true thunderbolt usb-c ports (and according to Fiio it should not be working). Doesn't work on my macbook m2 neither.

I just tried the Fiio DK1 dock and it charges (although not fast charging to get desktop mode) and has data connection to PC but no USB-DAC mode

Thanks for the info, I haven’t checked my thunderbolt port, I’ll check it. But just as I suspected the device does not support OTG adapters to be used in this way, which seems kind of dumb taking into account that the OTG is detected by the M15S and it gets energized and appears under usb connection options.
This and the fact that it does not support UAC 1.0 are making me think about returning it. Both seems to be fixable by firmware but being out for one year and it hasn’t been addressed by Fiio makes me think it never will.
Thanks anyway for the confirmation.

It's not a mid centric DAP, it's more of a (warm-ish) neutral analytical sound, with slight emphasis on lows and smooth but extended highs with no loss of details. It's not warm tilted though, it's still within the neutral range, just not on the cold neutral side of it. What people probably notice is that it has no slight recess in the midrange like some iBasso's and Sony's have.

Interestingly it measures dead flat so how it has the slight low end emphasis I don't know.

Edit: Spelling & format
