Dear friend,Was there ever an RM2? Or is this just a simple case of FiiO strongly preferring odd numbers instead of even numbers?
We do not have RM2 currently.
Best regards

Dear friend,@FiiO
I'm interested in the M15S and I hoping this can be my all-in-one solution, but I have some questions.
Could you provide some more noise floor specs at different levels of gain?
Your website lists <5.2μV (A weighting) for balanced headphone out on super high gain and ultra high gain, and <3.2μV for unbalanced headphone out.
What about low, medium, and high gain?
Can you confirm or deny that USB DAC mode and Desktop mode can be used at the same time?
Can you adjust the volume of the 4.4mm balanced line-out?

A test with a good quality plug and cable will be more representative.Dear fellows FiiO M15S owners,
I have a question and I can't sleep until I receive your comments
If you use 4.4 output - can you tell me please how easily or tightly you can plug in / plug out the 4.4 jack into the device? I am asking because mine is plugged in / out quite easily, almost without any resistance. At least compared to the same input in Topping G5 and Questyle M15 where you have to apply some power to get it in or out...
Thanks in advance for your comments.
@madzic What is the workaround you are referring to? I would also like to use DC mode and USB DAC Mode together with my M1 Mac.
The only way I was able to make work together DC Mode and USB DAC mode is as follow :
- Player plugged into the laptop => Quick charger Pop Up Screen => DC mode disabled
- Start USB DAC mode
- Go to Global menu and toggle on DC mode
I'm happy to report that I am able to use Desktop Mode and USB DAC mode at the same time via the included USB-C to USB-C cable plugged into the back of my M1 Mac Studio. Very happy with the M15S so far. I can use it to drive my IEMs, headphones, and active monitors! I do wish the noise floor was lower though, as you can hear it with sensitive IEMs (e.g. Campfire Andromeda).
I'm pretty sure it's working. It's been sitting at the same percentage for several hours now while using the line-out to speakers. I think whether or not Desktop Mode will work depends on the port. I have been using the ports on the back of my Mac Studio which are Thunderbolt 4. There are also two USB-C ports on the front of my Mac Studio which are "USB 3". The M15S cannot enter Desktop Mode using these front ports (can still use USB DAC mode though). According to the internet, these "USB 3" ports can only output 15W. The M15S probably needs more power than that. It's possible that the ports on your M2 Macbook Air are not supplying enough power? Or maybe it's the cable you're using? Are you sure it is working besides having the icon DC Mode on with or without DAC Mode ?
Dear friend,I was refering to this workaround, working well on an intel laptop with thunderbolt 3 port.
Are you sure it is working besides having the icon DC Mode on with or without DAC Mode ?
With my macbook air m2, it is not working. While I can activate DC Mode alone or DC Mode with DAC Mode with the workaround, the battery is still draining overtime. I cannot even charger the DAP plugged to the macbook. On the other side, on the intel computer, it is working flawlessly, not draining the battery over time in DC Mode or charging.
@FiiO Is it normal that I cannot even charge the DAP over the thunderbolt port of the macbook air m2 ? I am not talking about DC Mode, juste charging the battery.
The battery drains in any case and the DC Mode popup still appears when I plug it. Here a picture with AccuBattery app showing the DAP is not charging plugged to the macbook.
Same picture plugged to the intel laptop :
Plugged to a 70W charger :

Dear friend,New happy owner of an M15s. I'm striving to use it only in Pure Mode, as I find it heats up less and does indeed consumes less battery; even slightly. But, and it's a big but, on mine, using Fiio Music, gapless is broken on ISO SACD files. There's a nasty gap/scratch sound between tracks, that neither Neutron Player or UAPP encounter, they both play ISO files gapless flawlessly. Any suggestions?

Thanks a lotDear friend,
We checked with the engineer that the FiiO Music app has the problem you mentioned currently. Sorry about that. And the engineer will try to improve in the later APP update.
Best regards
