you turn the LO (line out ) mode on the 3.5mm output ( pre-amp mode )... pull down the menu and select LO.. the 3.5mm output turns into LO level ( no power adjustment ) then on the Black Label you connect via male/male 3.5mm cable at the input between the two switches on the front of the amp... thought I was thru with stacking... but this just sounds too good for over the ears... here is the cable I used.. https://www.fiio.com/productinfo/9571.html

That's why I'm holding back on selling the Micro BL, it's a really nice powerful piece of kit.

Any thoughts on Micro BL vs something like the OPPO HA-2SE? I plan on upgrading my HD650s soon to maybe the Aryas and kept hearing the DSD black label punches well beyond its price point, and the bass boost actually functions well.

Just found a bug with the latest firmware. All the tracks listed as most played on the front screen now seem to play other tracks when I press them. So completely screwed up! Shows one thing, plays something completely different!

Small thing, but annoying, I changed the playlist order to be in alphabetical order, but that’s changed all my actual playlists so they are no longer as created, I can see no way at all to get back to normal. My X7 was on 1.06 fw, it had more options here and you could get it back into order! Quite annoying!

Today Fiio is back from Chinese New Years and it looks like they're viewing this thread now, so it's a good time to list our requested firmware changes:

• Playlist ordering options, as noted by Jim Bobber (above)
• Numerical display of volume (noted by several on this thread). This is very useful for many things, including recreating specific levels when comparing headphones
• There is no way to prevent the power switch from accidentally powering up the unit while in your bag. See Drop Down Menu > Settings > General > Hold Switch Setting, where there should be a slider for the power switch as there is with all other switches.
• More flexible music navigation by metadata, including allowing the user to define navigation hierarchy. For example, My own preferred library navigation would be:

> Album within Artist​

> Track within Album​

1. There alreday have three sort options to choose : Sort by added time, Sort by filename, Sort by first letter;
2. This function will be available in next firmware;
3. We need to do further evaluation;
4. We are working on Album Artist, will update it as soon as possible.

The Oppo HA-SE2 is a good DAC however it is a clear downgrade form something like the Micro BL.

You might have messed up by selling the micro bl.... I plugged into my micro bl yesterday using the line out of the DAP... the sound was amazing....

what to do, my desktop amp sound miles better than micro BL, for portable usage wm1a sound better with my hp & iem, so dont have any reason to keep it. Unless u want raw power on outdoor session to drive those power hungry cans.

Listening to my just-arrived M15 with my Noble Khans. On my first album (the Dire Straits 2019 MSFL SACD .ISO) in Pure Music mode straight out of the box with no tweaks and I think it sounds fantastic. Will have to figure out how much of that is the SACD and how much is the unit by listening to some things where I know the sound quality by heart, but so far so good!
