M15 FW1.0.1

1. Fixed an issue where stopping playing 768kHz songs when using USB DAC caused noise (update the XMOS firmware at the same time)
2. Fixed an issue where playback/display malfunctions occur when it wakes from sleep in Bluetooth receive mode
3. Other bug fixes

Probably a pointless post as nobody has one

shame they are shipping with known bugs.... how hard is it to beta test the hardware and ship when the bugs have been identified and fixed....

How did you come to the conclusion that the bugs were known and were not found by the early review units? Or even are known, how come is it a shame to properly deliver some bug fixes rather than workarounds, and not delay the production line? How difficult is it just to update your device after you bought it?

Many consumer products are delivered to the market in the same way.

Even 18 year old brands putting out 4K daps mess up.

Then you following numbers instead of your ears. You need money to go by ears and its free to over think .
Yes I understand what you mean but sn ratio for some is important if you are hearing at voll power. I need the power because I'm hearing lots of bass music.
if you travel, you are all the time in a noisy environment and you Cary all the time the dap with you maybe you understand what I mean.

I bet cayin N8 will still win.
Not sure how good is m15 but spec wise they got it. Parts wise maybe also on top of the mountain.
But what is fiio sound tuning?

Is it reference neutral side or more organic and natural?
Very interesting hope I can audition m15 in near future as well

I wish NOT to be like the fiio m11 and m11 pro where the bass bleeds into sub bass.

If your listening at loud volumes in a noisy environment isn’t SNR less important than if your in a quiet place with low volume?

For example, when an audio component lists a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB, it means that the level of the audio signal is 100 dB higher than the level of the noise. A signal-to-noise ratio specification of 100 dB is considerably better than one that is 70 dB (or less).
This specification is one of several that impacts a system's overall sound quality.

That means it can't push over 122db without rising up noise. ??

With capable dual ak4499eq of 140db s/n Could be listed at least like the astell Kern sp2000 at 125db s/n or the ibasso dx 220 at 125db s/n.

It's shame to be honest.

Still I would recommend you, if someone gives you an N8 for the price of a DX160, before choosing the DX160 over N8 based on the SNR value, take a listen and see if your ears can crunch the SNR difference as good as you can crunch the numbers.
