Seemed to have resolved my problem with this solution.
You have to play a 88.2 kHz track with the Neutron player. That sets the Fiio player settings to be able to handle Amazon music.

Curious about this as well. FiiO's marketing material indicates MQA is only available on the FiiO Music App, with support for 3rd party apps (e.g. Tidal) coming with a future firmware update. Is there any timeline @FiiO ?

I have one coming in by week's end to review. I'm really looking forward to getting to spend some time getting to know it better. I loved what I heard at the Toronto Audio Fest a few weeks back!
