I just got a M11 from Shenzhen Hongze Technology. Order placed on 4/23/19... Let’s see how fast I get it, I am in the US.
Wonder if this is part of the initial “testing batch” or the production one.
We will see!
I ordered from them on the 11th and got it on the 19th in NY. It took a few days for order status to change, but once it did things moved quickly. First thing I did when I got it was to check the verification on the FiiO site; everything was fine there.

I think the testing batch thing is a rumor.

Good to know! Not too worried about authenticity. But buying any tech first gen, problem are to be expected... just don’t want to get a lemon and have to send it back to China... Shipping along would be 40-50.
What worries me is that one 4.4 jack failure report, some SD Card issue.
I guess this is a risk we are willing to take a early adopter :)

FWIW, my 4.4mm works fine and I’m running cards in both slots. No issues and I am a happy camper.

The test batch is not released to the public in any market. Not sure how that rumor actually started. any "Test Batches" would go to reviewers, beta testers, QC people.. etc. Fiio stated earlier in this thread that no pre release units are released for sale.

Do we know when we'll start seeing reviews from well known sources? I'm a fan of Headfonia's reviews and can't wait to see what they say about the M11.

Is there any way to change the music mode app from the stock fiio app?
I don't own an M11 but like a standard android DAP I'm sure all you have to do is to install whatever music app you want to use via a downloaded apk file, as Google Play won't work with this DAP.

How does the Z7M2 pair up with the M11? I don't have an M11 but I'm considering getting a pair for my ZX300. Read your signature and thought I'd ask.
They pair nicely, with M11 driving well the headphones (they are not power demanding). All spectrum parts are well rendered, but there is a little emphasis on low mids (both source and headphones got a little warm sound).
As I've heard, the high range Sony's DAP have a warm and dark sound (while M11 is more bright and balanced), so if you already like the pairing between ZX300 and MDR-1A this will be a great enhancement of your setup with no sound signature surprise.

Can anyone please tell me what material the chassis is (other than the glass)?
