We all knew there was going to be a 'pro' anyways. Fiio was totally upfront about their roadmap. That's the way she goes :)

Trevor, Cory- smokes, now!

So why the whining from certain quarters

Don't know. I mean you can always sell your m11 and get the pro if you want it. So I really don't know. I mean it's like anything, if you wants it, you pays your money. Or you keep what you have and enjoy it.

Simple.

Question about organizing your music for optimal FiiO M11 player app use.

So I have nicely ripped flac albums, all well and good. I also have about 25,000 unorganized single tracks, mostly with file names of 'Artist - Title' and reasonable tag metadata. The directory structure for these is crap, in fact half the files are in a single directory. When I did all my streaming from linux I actually organized my music with symbolic links. My playlist, of sorts. Directory of 'jazz' links to jazz tracks. Directory of 'classical' links to classical tracks, and so on.

If I just import all the raw tracks as is into the FiiO app, it's hard to find anything. So I'm wondering if you have any advise on how to organize things for FiiO M11 app. Maybe adding directory structure does it. Maybe I need to master MP3 friendly playlist syntax. I have no idea, thus this message looking for pointers.

I tried playing around with 'beets' and 'Picard' yesterday to bolster my tagging and perhaps rename some files, but wasn't a good time. 'beets' didn't seem to like my single tracks, and Picard would put in the wrong metadata from MusicBrainz. So scratch that. Not that it would have helped the FiiO M11 music app, though that's an experiement still in progress.

Thanks for any tips.

Do you already have the M11? If so, my question again is this: what do you feel you’re missing?

My guess is the M15 flagship won’t cost more than $800 and will make all the TOTL $2k+ dacs look silly.
I agree with you, I think Fiio will keep the M15 well under 1000 dollars. And since in my mind the m11 competes well with other companies 'flagships' I think M15 will make them cry from inferiority :sob:
As much as I would like to say that a sub $1000 DAP that is capable of competing against the ~$3000 flagships like the SP2000, Cayin N8, WM1Z etc. would only be something in a dream, looking at how FiiO has been pricing the M11 and the M11 Pro this could actually be a reality lol.
In terms of pricing, I think increments of $150 would be nice, with the M11 at $450, the Pro variant at $600 (though I am aware it may be $550), and the M15 at $750. $750 might be a bit on the cheaper side, but Imo somewhere between $750 and $850 would be suitable. But let's be real here even if it was like $1200 or something it'd still be a steal lmao
