[FiiO LC-RE/LC-RE Pro/LC-RE Pro 2022] MMCX cable Gold-Silver-Copper swappable plug Earphone Cable

Mine arrived a few days ago. I used ALO cables before and found the MMCX connectors were loose on my Xelentos. They would literally cut in and out while I walked from the connection being so loose. I was not happy with the fit.
So plugging in the LC-RE was a whole other story - the fit was so tight that it barely "clicked" in, but once it is in, it's rock solid. Maybe even too tight!? Maybe that will give you an idea. I'd say if the ALO cables fit you without being loose, beware of the tight fit of these MMCX connectors.
The good news? I LOVE the new cable and dont think I'll ever need to switch it again! (unless I move to 2-pin IEMs someday....)

the problem is that Sony has a sort of proprietary MMCX where the tip is smaller is circumference. I’ve used other Fiio cables without issue, but they had different looking MMCX connectors.

thanks for the info.

Sony - taking something that should be standard and making it proprietary? Yeah that sounds about exactly right. Ugh. I guess they want everyone to buy Kimber Cables... good luck with the fit!

I recently discovered my ALO Pure Silver Litz cable works with my Sony M9.

Will the MMCX connectors fit the Sony IER-Z1R?

I know that some don’t, so before ordering I want to make sure.
Hi,

Yes.

Hello, could you give in more details about this cable sound? Since no one has ever reviewed this cable I'm still a bit reluctant to buy it. Thank you.

sure I’ll do my best. I am using a pair of Xelentos so have the MMCX version of the new fiio cable. I’ve used the stock 3.5 cable for years and recently upgraded to the balanced 2.5 ALO Smokey Litz to make the most of my iBasso dx220. I also tried a few cheaper balanced 8 core cables from amazon.

To my ears this is the best cable I’ve tried for this set up, which is a relief because I love the cables look, fit and feel too. It’s my endgame cable now. I definitely appreciate an improvement in sound. I feel like I’m hearing a smoothness and richness that wasn’t as apparent before. Silky and buttery. Resolution is all there and I think maybe the soundstage has lost of touch of air but I’m enjoying the signature enough to not miss it. The bass is controlled and Maybe a bit deeper in sub. I can say with certainty that cables do make a difference with the Xelentos, and this cable is perfect in my eyes, hands and ears! The MMCX fits the Xelentos very well, but I expect I’ll still have this cable in 5 years even if I’ve sold the Xelentos.

Like I said, endgame cable for me. (Thank god because obsessing over cables was getting old and my son thought I was losing it lol)

Thank you very much! Maybe this cable isn't for me then lol. I spent so much money on cables to find my current favorite cable with 'air' feeling. Thank you anyway😁

I think what I’m noticing is smoother treble. I haven’t experienced any harsh treble moments at all since moving to this cable. I expect that treble control also limits the brightness of the soundstage. I’m happy with the balance, and the soundstage is still wide. I’ve put about 100 hours though it so far.

Hi there! Tell please, will it work with Sony Xba N1-AP ?
Dear user,

We did not test with this headphone. But if your headphone is using the standard MMCX connector, the LC-RE could work with it theoretically.

Best regards
