Why does the white one weight ~30g less than the black one? I have both and was surprised that the white one feels more cheap. Both genuine Fiio KB1.

I finally picked up one of these and it has exceeded my expectations. It works with MusicBee universally in Windows 10 even when the application is in exclusive mode! None of my keyboards could do this universally (only when MusicBee was the active window).

@FiiO can you provide some more details on the specific settings needed to be able to use the control knob for fast forward and rewind? Hopefully in English as I do not understand the settings in the image above. Thanks!

Can the fast forward and rewind control of the APP be adjusted by '<-' and '->' buttons? If yes, you could set like that:

If not, you could check which button can control and set the correct button in KB1K for help.

It says ESS dac chip, does it have a built in dac and can be used as stand alone dongle?

Good idea , this would be a pretty cool form factor for a mini desktop dac/amp- kind of like an apogee groove with clicky transport controls.

Audio gear with keyboard keys has a good history.

How to upgrade the KB1/KB1K(Firmware update is supported in Windows computer):
1.Unzip the firmware package. Run the 'upgrade' programme to start the upgrade;
2. When the message 'The firmware is up-to-date' shows, the firmware has been upgrade successfully and we could exit the upgrade programme.

Nobody is probably going to want to try using the volume for a driving game on PC but I tried it anyways.

Doesn't really work for that purpose unfortunately the volume wheel doesn't recognize the A/D or Left/Right keys when turning the volume wheel left and right

LOL I think it might be adjusting volume on the hardware level on the unit itself, and not providing feedback to the PC maybe?

Thanks, right I fixed it, I have select some certifcates from site and this was cause a problem, solution is to Cancel any certificates and site is load fine.

@FiiO - after upgrade a firmware on website jadeaudio.com now my volume sometimes increase or decrease itself to maximum or minimum when move volume knob!

For example I rotate volume knob for volume up, left knob and volume goes itself goes up to maximum. This happen sometimes.

Before there was no problem like this ! This happen after upgrade firmware for sure. I quess your hold button function in latest firmware some mess here.

Please FIX THIS fast, now this device is useless
