Anyone encounter the K7 making a click sound then seemingly going into a standby mode with the two front LEDs blinking and no audio being outputted until you perform a power cycle?

Is this some sort of overheat protection perhaps?

I'm also thinking of switching from K7 to K9. K7 suits everyone, I use it with a proprietary PL50 power supply, however, I often and for a long time go to my parents' house in another city for work, and I would like to have a second device for listening to music there too. I decided not to buy a second K7, but to try something new. Do you have experience listening to K7? Could you briefly describe the difference in sound between K7 and K9?

Only got the K9 today so only preliminary thoughts using FiiO FH9 IEM's. Slightly more open soundstage vs K7 the bass in particular seems to have more weight and impact to it vs K7. Not quite as smooth sounding as the K7 but slightly cleaner sounding if that makes sense? Noticeably more power than the K7, similar in tonality to my FiiO M11 Plus ESS which not surprising given they both employ ESS ES9068AS DAC's.

the volume problem in K7 had been solved in later batches (those after firmware update).. so here you go...
