Yes, both phones use CTIA standards, I think it's only one faulty unit, the store confirmed they tested a different unit on multiple android phones and mic+controls worked fine. Sent it back today, should get a replacement in about two days. Will post back with more impressions.

Mine also was a faulty unit. Tested on multiple smartphones and tablets, same result. Seller replaced it with a new one in 1 day and this is perfectly working.

too sad to hear this, we will ask all our agents to see how many EX1ii has the same issues.

  Brilliant sound, especially with the red core tips, much fuller. But i am experiencing the same issue another user had with these, mic, and controls are not working at all. Tested on 2 android phones, my S6 and a P8 lite. Haven't tried yet on Apple device. Going to send them back and get a replacement. Despite the issue, worth all the money and more.

Hello, I bought the item from the official distributor for Romania, https://www.avstore.ro/ . They were very nice and responsive to my issue, and will send a different piece. The product already has reviews on their site and people confirmed in the review that their unit works fine with Android and other Fiio products.
