Haven't tried yet with R01, will hook it back up tomorrow and give it a listen. Definitely complementary to IE900, doesn't have the same level of pristine/accuracy but more fun sounding while also great technically - really does remind me of MEST MKII in terms of stage and overall presentation but I prefer FH9 tuning, more engaging in a musical way. Excellent IEM, very impressive build quality, packaging, and I love the cable - all very premium!
I agree. When I tested FH9 and MK2 last time, both sound identical. MK2 just a bit fuller and bassier. But I can say MK2 is better a bit overall.

FH9 bass is stronger than what the graph suggests
Especially the IEM bass depends a lot on the insertion and ear canal properties, so might vary slightly person to person, also vs. the graphs. But yeah, since I bought the FH9, I have no tickle for any "upgrade". It is an amazing IEM.

I think the loudness of the bass matches the graph (and closely matches my Andromeda). However, FH9 creates a physical sensation with the bass that the BA drivers in my Andromeda can’t. FH9 is a high-end IEM for sure.

Depends...
FD7 is the best :sunglasses:
How do you find the FD7 better than the FH9?

I don't have or have tried any of them, but I'm looking for a new one and I'm attracted to both.

I prefer the overall tonality/frequency balance and coherency for listening to classical music.
Technicalities might be a hair behind the FH9 but still great.

And what do you think to listen to rock/metal? (if you have tried them with that type of music so different from classical)

I don't know the FD7. But the FH9, yes.

It rocks. :L3000:
