After 2 weeks without the FH9 and going through FH5s and A4000... I bought the FH9 again. I'll get used to them (initially send them back due to comfort issues).
Bought them in silver though instead of black. They feel lighter (don't have a scale with me). Could it be possible? My black ones weighted at 13.8g.

Oh i always thought the weight is for a pair (Sony always weighs in pairs) so i thought its extremely leightweight. But i just checked the weight of my FH9After 2 weeks without the FH9 and going through FH5s and A4000... I bought the FH9 again. The FH9 weighs roughly as much as the IER-Z1R. I remembered them being lighter somehow.
According to my scale, the FH9 is 12.8g and the IER-Z1R is 12.5g, so pretty much the same. The IER-M9 comes with 5.3g and i remember the IER-M7 to be below 4.5g
So yes wow, the FH9 is actually pretty heavy. But it contains 7 drivers incl. 1 DD... thats a lot of material.
So, for what it is, i still consider it to be pretty okay. As said, i didn't remember them to be that heavy. I thought they were pretty comfortable unlike the IER-Z1R which acts like a gremlin.
Regarding the weight of two colors, there is not difference between them , almost the same! After 2 weeks without the FH9 and going through FH5s and A4000... I bought the FH9 again. I'll get used to them (initially send them back due to comfort issues).

I have the FH5s, and I run it with a Gryphon Amp to make absolutely sure there's enough power, and I wonder if you could share a few more specific words comparing the two.I haven't heard those. I just have the FD5, and the FH5s (and I am quite enamored with its sound signature of the latter). The FH9 is several steps up from the FH5s (and FD5).
I know that the FH9 is not a $900-1000 IEM, so wouldn't expect that level, but how does it do at its level in comparison?

I wouldn't say the FH9 can't compete with some $900-$1000 IEMs (it sounds better than my JH Audio Angie). But to give you more insight between the FH9 and FH5s - to my ears - I must first say I still like the former quite a bit. But the FH9 is simply a much fuller sound! The instruments are thicker with a greater soundstage than the FH5s. But more important than that, the FH9 gives you a lot of air and space around each instrument. You can envision where the musicians are standing or the stage or location in the studio if they are recording together in one room. Notes are taller and warmer, and the micro-details are outstanding! Instrument separation and the soundstage are so wonderful that I actually can't use the FH9 with some of my desktop DAC/Amps. As an example, I own the uDuoo XA-10 desktop DAC/Amp. This DAC/Amp is so great with most of my headphones/IEMS in giving a greater soundstage and instrument separation, but it, unfortunately, distorts the sound of FH9 to the point of it sounding very unnatural. the BTR5 2021 DAC/Amp is a great match for the FH9. Or plugging the IEM directly into a new iMac 24 is superb. And I have an old Sony Walkman Dap (can't think of the model number off hand), that is like a match made in heaven for the FH9. In conclusion, I think the FH5s is a very nice sounding IEM, but it doesn't compare at all to its big brother. Hope this helps.I have the FH5s, and I run it with a Gryphon Amp to make absolutely sure there's enough power, and I wonder if you could share a few more specific words comparing the two.

They are very different.
The FH9 plays on another level.
Grander, bolder, fuller, more expansive, holographic, another league...
