So, I have the iBasso it01s for 2 years, at first had trouble with the fitting, but then tried upside down comply tips, and they are working great now.

I like the sound (It's a little thin and wanted more bass), but don't know if is worth to pay 150€ to upgrade to the Fiio fh3s or just wait for some "new" Fiio, maybe the FD3 Pro?

Anyone ever tried upside down comply tips with them? how is the sound?

Really disappointed the cable no longer works... no sound on the left side coming thru. As you can see in my photo, it arrived with a slight bend on the shaft, but it still worked and was fine inserting into my DAP so I just ignored it. The casing had already came loose and I had to reconnect it too each time I pulled it out from the DAP or my phone. I always wondered why so many of these cables ended up on eBay by themselves! A real shame as they really sound great, easy to drive and bags of fun. Currently using them with another cable, but this issue doesn't fill me with much confidence on the long term health of the actual earphones.

FiiO really dropped the ball on this one. Mine developed the same problem and the dealer said I had to return the whole package to get it fixed, so the cable is still languishing around. The Fiio guys said they would handle it themselves if the dealer insisted and I am yet to take up their offer. I found the whole matter so annoying.

Very detailed review and a lot of work put into this. Absolutely love the FH5S. The combination of fit, build quality and tuning have made these one of my top IEM/headphones and my daily driver.

It was bought thru Amazon and the return period isn't up so I can return but like I say I really enjoy the sound. If the procedure tho is to send back to Asia and wait for it to be fixed or replaced then it's more trouble than it's worth

The FH5s (non pro) sounds great and that is coming from kilo buck IEM's. Using JVC spiral dots and using 1st bass switch up. I think the larger dynamic likes a bit of power on it, using medium gain on a Topping A30 pro. EDM the bass really shines but generally on non EDM isn't overly boomy. It has impact, a lot of presence and texture. Everything sounds crisp and excellent sound stage or a sense of space.

That crispness might initially throw you off on some tracks but once your brain burns in something like Fleetwood Mac The Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac in FLAC sounds so good. Honestly I am not sure about the reviews these have got, perhaps it's preference?

I might do a full review. I would be interested to know the difference in how the new cable sounds.

Probably a pure copper one, also try JVC spiral dots and 1st or bass switch up.
