I have a few others IEM with mmcx connection, and that's what you said, some tighter or looser depending on the cable, but it never bothered me, this is the first.

As I work in the automotive industry, anything apparently loose makes me apprehensive lol... it must be some kind of perfectionism-related OCD.

I already contacted Fiio, I am waiting for an answer since in my country there is no technical assistance from them.

Thanks for all!
Dear friend,

Maybe the tolerance in the MMCX connector of the headphone or the cable lead to the issue. Does the sound work fine? If yes, please don't be too worry. But if the issue is not bearable, you could try to contact your seller for check first. If the seller fails to help, please contact support@fiio.com with the receipt attached. Thanks in advanced!

Best regards

@FiiO Would it be possible to purchase FD7 cable?

I could be wrong but I think the Fiio LC-RD is the same cable that comes with the FD7 just with a different jacket color (clear jacket). It's a 4 strand, pure silver cable. Available for purchase on it's own. Comes with the modular plug system and 3 plugs.

Fiio also has the LC-RD Pro which is an 8 strand pure silver with a dark jacket.

Thanks for the reply but I'm looking for the original FD7 cable in black with black Mmcx connectors to replace my existing FD7 cable.

I see.
Contacting Fiio directly would probably be more efficient than waiting for a reply from them here.
Good call. I have heard of people getting spare parts from Fiio that way.

All out fiio tonight. The fdx sounds amazing on the m17. I’ve owned far more expensive daps than the m17 but it’s probably my favourite

It's the FDX, it sounds amazing with everything!
I love the timbre on the fdx. I’ve heard more detailed/technical iems but the fdx just sounds natural

Me too, the most positive about the FDX is the naturalness of timbre and the realistic texture.
Its kind of like the iem equivalent to the hd600/650/6xx reg timbre
