Very controlled graph. Almost looks like a multi-driver design. If they really do manage to reduce the amount of fatigue one can get from lower mids/upper bass being too excursive on Be drivers, that could be worth it. Same goes for the treble resonances.

First impression, as good as my Dorado 2020.

Graph looks safe from treble sibilance. Inoffensive at least.

How's the mids and bass though. Looks like a significant wide band 20hz-1k boost. Beryllium drivers are faster and can probably handle it.

Has it caused any issues with bass bleed?

Absolutely true .. on paper nice curve with good mid bass presence .. like it.. but beware the 200hz area where a tilt came quickly generate a congestion in low mid .. but only my imagination.. seems to be a good iem I’ll definitely follow as single Dd lover

First review of the FD7 so far...sounds promising. Like an overall improvement over the FD5. Could this be perfection? :)
Watched it yesterday but he says absolutely nothing that he wouldn't have said about any random IEM. Waste of time if you're asking me. This is more a "newer = better" kind of promo.

so the layering and imaging is somewhat i would say similar focal utopia. stage is out of your head. very neutral. bass is tight n punchy but less than fd5. the highs seems further back but still detailed. not my preferred presentation but others will like it. it seems it is a pure one 😄. 👍 so far. but i just used out of box with dx300 max.

value for money for sure.

maybe it needs to be burned in just like my fd5 for the bass.

it not as intense as odin for sure this one is more relax like the hd800s kind. iems nowadays just sound more and more like high end headphones. just my noob impression on fd7.

Beryllium dynamics? 100% need burn in. I would imagine the sound to expand farther than what your hearing how and become more technical. This is promising. No wonder they went with pure silver cable. Was to enhance details on the FD7. Which means they are paying attention to cable match ups. Nice, and I would imagine this will be the case moving forward.

Nice wooden box, you don’t see this with IEMs in this price range. The last IEMs I got with wooden boxes: Spear Labs Triton 1 & Tralucent Audio Ref Gen3

The faceplate is kind of matte gold and everywhere else is shiny gold.

For those of you wondering what happened to the vents with the imitation diamonds blocking the ports. Looks like it’s beneath the MMCX

Got serial number on one side, the other side shows “Fiio FDX”

First sound impressions: I do think these need some time to settle given the beryllium drivers but on my first listen (~10 min), I notice the dynamics and resolution are pretty good already, soundstage as well. I’m not sure if I want to call it slight V yet, sounded pretty balanced to me with the default filter and Spinfits. The bass is also pretty tight and I don’t think the impact is there yet, probably need to tip-roll.

That’s it for now!
