I can’t get my Fiio E5 to work. It turns on and it is charged. I didn’t do anything to it other than grab it off my desk and it won’t put out any sound. I tried different 4 different sources (ipods, phones, computers, ect) and 3 different cables. 2 LOD’s and 1 3.5mm to 3.5mm and this thing wont put out sound. I threw it on the charger and tried. I have held down the + for volume and nothing.

It is so weird. BECAUSE IT TURNS ON AND OFF. I have only owned  it since September and I bought it brand new.

Any ideas? I tried looking into myself but can’t find any other forums with others have a similar problem.

Please contact your seller first, they will help you solve the problem!

BTW, we had not found similar problem, and belive me we sold out so many E5 , so it is not strange that there may have some weird defect!

Yes, I have not idea why Head-fi give us a ID as Feiao, FiiO will be more better, and Micca will help you repair it !  they have very good service!

Micca is an extremely reputable company around here and is known very well for their outstanding customer service that I have personally experienced first-hand. Contact them and they should have you up and running again in no time.

Sounds like you got a defective/faulty unit.  Contact the seller and get it replaced.

I'm also considering the E5, but with my current on-the-go setup consisting only of a pair of IEMs which don't have a high impedance at all, I may wait for the E11 // when I get some portable headphones.

I've been pretty fortunate with computer components but when it comes to audio equipment, not so much
. I just got the mysterious "no audio issue" from my Fiio E5, which is less than 6 weeks old.
