Fiio E11 necessary for Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO's + ModMic -> MixAmp Pro?

Main use will be for console gaming (Xbox 360), hence the ModMic and MixAmp; will rarely use with computer, but will use with my iPod (which will be upgraded [likely to a Cowon] sooner or later) on occasion.
 
It seems the extra power may be needed for running the 990 PRO's along with the ModMic.
