Just for another point of view I output from my HiBy RS6 running UAPP to BTR7 in LDAC and it works beautifully! Clearly YMMV! :smile_phones:
You do not have to give me any other point of view because I fully agree with you :) My milage does not vary at all :) The other member suggested to uninstall UAPP but, of course, I will not uninstall UAPP because I use it all the time and it works great for me. It also has this setting "Use with Bluetooth output", which I use.

Maybe you wanted to quote the other guy~? :)

Apologies for quoting incorrectly, you are absolutely right!

Hi! Thanks! I have done that several times - but it did not bring any changes.
But I think I have now solved the problem, at least in a certain way: I changed the U-Audio settings to UA1.0! Does Mac (I have a quite new Macbook Pro from 1 year ago) not work with UA2.0?
Dear friend,

We failed to find this Macbook Pro for check currently. We will report to the engineer first.
Can this Macbook Pro work with other USB DAC(2.0 mode) instead?

Best regards

Dear friend,

No, but we are assessing for adding the High shelf and Low shelf for BTR7.

Best regards
Would absolutely love those EQ options!

I hope you took note of the Bug I reported for the spelling mistake in the EQ profile name.

For Battery Saver per se, it would be good to find a way to reduce CPU power as much as it uses currently. Sometimes over wired audio, the DAC starts to get warm/hot, which can be detrimental to it's battery internally and hence having such an option can reduce the power consumption bringing down the heat to its internals without much compromise to the overall user-experience. I know it's easier said than done, but think of it as a Power Saving mode on our smartphones that scale down the CPU usage without impacting overall user experience by much and yet giving significant gains in overall usage over time.

e.g. If you are using C-to-C audio and have this option, then turning it ON would bring down the clock speed of the CPU in the background such that it is not over-utilizing any resources, reducing the brightness to it's minimum and (maybe) turning off the Bluetooth Radio in the background (knowing that the audio is currently being sent over it's C-port). You can also think of how a power-save mode on your smartwatch helps, where battery is even more tinier and hence getting that extra juice really helps it push through a couple of more hours. Alternatively, if you can provide a Bluetooth On/Off toggle in the options, that could save the battery power too (because unlike many others, I don't use Bluetooth audio as much as I do over wired) and hence saving that power can earn me a few extra mins of music.

Hope this helps explain. Thanks for #2 and #3. Will wait for an update.
@FiiO I hope you took a note of my response to your message. Just making sure it didn't get lost in between other requests/issues. Thanks and appreciate your consideration.

Dear friend,

We will report your feedback to the engineer. But we could not promise whether this feature could be added. Thanks for the kind feedback and understanding.

Best regards

Got a BTR7 recently, replacing the IFI GO which had some issues, having been dropped one too many times. I was v pleased with the IFI GO, but the BTR7 is really a do-all sort of product. It works seamlessly as a USB dac or BT dongle. Sound is fab, incisive, powerful, noise-free. Really good. It's just a little bit large and heavy by comparison. Oh well, we can't have everything
I've put this baby toe to toe against my ageing Mojo and Q5S and there ain't much in it. Since getting it I have been using the BTR7 as my go-to device for all scenarios and it's not let me down at all. Good job, Fiio!

Agree with you.
BRT7 is a nice device, with nice sound, even on bluetooth or wired, via USB-C cable.
Less analytical than E1DA 9038, but more than my M15.

I tested Shanling UA5 vs FiiO BTR7 (USB mode). UA5 sounds cleaner and better. Anyway, just go give a try on them. Maybe it's different result for different iem. But if you need bluetooth, then no brainer it's BTR7
I have been trying to decide between these two for a week...looking at specs I don't fully understand. I listen via a Samsung S20 phone using HiFiMan Sundara and Moondrop Blessing2. Is the improvement you detected with UA5 obvious or subtle? Thanks.

I have FiiO BTR 7 and stay away from it, its software is problematic, it will be a bit heavy, but it has a ridiculous Parametric Equalizer, they still couldn't come up with a good software. After the last software, there are sometimes interruptions in the bluetooth sound, the battery indicator is problematic.

When I asked the fiio official here if the BTR 7 would be Qudelix 5k quality for problems with the parametric equalizer software, he gave me an unconvincing answer. So they don't really care.

I'm going to sell it and get the Qudelix 5K.

Dear friend,

1. If you mean the High shelf and Low shelf support in PEQ for BTR7, the engineers are assessing now.
2. Please check whether there is interference when the sound has interruption.
3. What's the problem with the batterty indicator?

Best regards

Just received a BTR7 as an upgrade to my (2nd) BTR3K, which I liked so much I bought another after the battery in my first one finally gave up the ghost.

Only about an hour in, but so far so excellent! Significantly better in every way to the BTR3K it replaces. Sounds lusher, more expansive, more detailed, better bass, wider, and (critically for me) nice and smooth. Love it. It's also great that I can realistically use my HD600 with it too, which I couldn't with the BTR3K.

I am one of those who couldn't care less about EQ and tweaks and all that stuff - I tend to prefer stuff that just works out of the box - which this pretty much does. Having said that I do have one request for Fiio to consider:

Could we have a crossfeed option please?

:smile_phones:
