Put both devices in pairing mode and they will find each other esp. if you put them near each other.

Some had issues with certain Sony's due to trying to connect via LDAC will not work if you (WILL EDIT WHEN ****IN SLOW FIIO SITE LOADS) have set in the Sony App.

EDIT : Multipoint Connections, disable that in the Sony App and LDAC will work < this may be preventing you pairing as it will default to LDAC (assuming your Sony's have it)

The FiiO REP said it cannot be added as the chipset does not support it and that aside they had no room left on the chip so left AAC out in favour of aptX-LL in TX Mode, it only supports AAC in the RX Mode.

Regarding the 1.12Beta firmware.
What are the improvement over the previous firmware?
Managed to pair and transmit audio to my Sony Wh-1000mx4.
Yes, the volume output is low. I had to crank the BTA30pro vol all the way u.

Dear friend,

1. The stability of Bluetooth connection has been improved in the beta firmware.
2. Which input mode are you using? If you are using spdif input mode, you could try to set 'volume control mode' to'Fixed at 100%' via the FiiO control app. Then reconnect again for check.

A fantastic product for causal desktop listening. It's really an one box solution for 2 pairs of Bluetooth headphones and a pair of active speakers. The ability to fix volume in individual mode is a real blessing. Though I haven't tried, but the "game mode" certainly looks promising as well.

One question: I have no difficulty exit/disabling the aptx LL by double click button "D" and using other codec, but is the BTA30pro suppose to remember this action? i.e. after I switched from TX to DAC and back to TX mode again without shutting down, it would go back to aptx LL. (Firmware: V1.12beta)

Two humble suggestions: 1. RX/TX/Dac switch could use some thought to be more sturdy and larger (I'd complete about 6-7 toggles on a busy day, so I'm concerned how many thousand toggles are the switches rated for?). 2. If not limited by chassis space, would you consider separating the usb input from power on the next model?

Dear friend,

Thanks for your feedback. We will report to the engineer and check whether this 'remember' function could be added via firmware update or app control.
And we will report to the product manger about your feedback in our new products.

Best regards

Many thanks, I did find a work around by disabling the aptx LL in the FiiO Control app, so this way I don't need to manually exit/disable aptx LL each time I toggle to TX mode.

Yes the former, it is in specs on their site and in the the manual (on their site to download).
I ask, because the manual seems to talk only about the optical input for this scenario, as if it only works with the optical input.

●Bluetooth transmitting (TX):
Input priority: short press button C to switch the input source. Transmitting: the BTA30 Pro can be connected to Bluetooth receiving devices such as
the FiiO BTR5 and BTR3K. Audio can be input to the BTA30 Pro through its USB input, coaxial input and optical input port.
BYPASS mode: after inputting audio to the BTA30 Pro through the optical input port, the audio signal can be transmitted to Bluetooth headphones. Meanwhile, it can also
be connected to a speaker through the optical/coaxial output port.

What I am asking is it possible, is USB in -> transmit BT (LDAC) and output over wire to another device (K5 Pro), at the same time, without having to switch it to DAC mode.
