Fiio - what are you doing, have you eaten too many mushrooms? It is impossible to update via Fiio Control - constant errors! Why do you write that Android owners can update via a web page? Then give instructions or admit that nothing works for you again!

So the Android app received an update today (version 3.34) claiming the new support for BT11 functionalities that requires device FW update to 1.0.9. via iOS version of Fiio Control app. Has anybody tried it already? I have no Apple device to try. Or is there any other way via PC?

Windows and Android owners have been brazenly deceived again! Fiio claimed that BT11 would work with IOS, Android, Windows and everyone paid money for this product. But for some reason Fiio forgot about Android, and their buggy Fiio Control for Windows doesn't work!But what efforts are spent on radio receivers and cassette players!

I press online upgrade, then it download FW and then nothing happens. Only black display

I had the same on my iPhone, only black display. On my iPad the online update process ran correctly.

Did your BT11 work smoothly after update? My update went fine but with this “proper” v1.0.9 I have all the symptoms of “draft” 1.0.9 - not possible to select codecs, not entering pairing mode, etc.

Does anyone have the 1.0.7 .bin file to downgrade with? Updated my BT11 to 1.0.9 using my iPad and now it won't pair with anything

EDIT:

Figured out I can just download the .bin file from the FiiO Control website. Downgraded and the BT11 is usable again.

Pair management and codec selection including new features such ldac 330/660/990 kbps are only available with updated android app version.

If you have only iPhone you’d have to wait till iPhone updated version Fiio app release
Most probably under apple App Store verification since every iOS app has to get verified by apple before published, android is more fast at publishing..

I upgraded to 1.0.9 using my iPad and was successful. Using the FiiO Control app on Android (no iOS update yet) the settings seem to work fine. No extensive testing but 909/990 LDAC seemed to work as expected on my FW5. With my MTW4, AptX Adaptive/Lossless is not stable, sound drops out after a minute or so and eventually stops altogether...

It takes some balls to udpate the app on android and say you need ios to even use the features LOLOL. As far as I understand Fioo literally said update via android will never happen. Also is there still the possibility of updating via PC?
