[FIIO BT11] Portable High-Res Bluetooth Transmitter Is Officially Released!

The auto opening of iTunes is all on Apple. I've tried lots to turn it off to no avail. Apple hardwired into the OS, so when an audio device connects it opens iTunes automatically.

A major PIA as it confuses the TWS'. I am an Apple fanboy but this is WRONG. I'd be surprised if Apple does not undo soon in an update.

Exactly. That auto opening is preventing me to connect the device to the app and when I had it working it was dropping left and right. I may just delete iTunes from my phone and reinstall in to see if that is a workaround?

I don't understand what you guys are referring to. iTunes App?

Which type of phone are you using?

I have all 3 devices (MTW4/BT-W6/BT11) and they sound the same other than some can be louder than others as it should be with all Dongles I have owned, the signal is sent via Bluetooth to the earbuds and the earbuds tune the sound so more to do with their internals and tuning.
They def do not sound the same on my end. so not sure whats going on there. Are you using USB audio player on android with lossless aptx? I just dont want to believe im just losing my mind or my hearing :)

Nope I do not like it but own Pro.

I use local files and Poweramp and my phone natively supports all the Codecs so do no need the Dongle other than testing and currently subbed to Tidal so that is what I am listening to right now on my PC with the BT-W6+MTW4.

Ok so it could be how the android app is treating the dongles as a USB dac when taking control. I will test them on PC with tidal and see, I am torn because to me the fiio just sounds better but just buggy as crap. If I can get the w6 sounding the same it would be awesome.

You can obliviously tweak the sound as much as you like via the Creative App and AFAIR it keeps those settings in memory per device but I only ever used the EQ to tone down some bass heavy earbuds (then saved as a profile) I had in the past as this is my 3rd Creative Dongle now.

Sorry. Music app on iPhone 16 pro max on iOS 18.1 not iTunes.

Its the native player for the iPhone.

I previously installed the Bt11 and it has high jacked my player. As soon as I plug in the device it somehow remembers it and connects to the AirPlay mode of headphone listening. FiiO BT11 1.0 UAC. I can’t even change it back to iPhone when the bt11 plugged in. Worse than that, it won’t let me connect to the FiiO App because it thinks I am already paired with the phone device. So I can’t just “forget” this like you can in the Bluetooth settings. I have no possible way to access my BT11 on my iPhone as long as it thinks it’s paired. I can’t clear it out and reset it. If someone knew a way to reset the device so my phone wouldn’t recognize it when plugging into the USB port that would be helpful. Thanks. Tom

This doesn't happen for me on iPhone 15 Pro or my MacBook Air M2. I assume you guys are referring to the Apple Music app?

I don't see anything in settings that would cause this. Very odd and confusing. Have you turned off all of your Airplay devices? I'm not sure why Airplay would have anything to do with USB audio (other than the ability to switch outputs in the Apple Music app).

Yes I have. As soon as I plug it into the phone, Apple Music app comes across my screen and the device automatically connects to it. Airplay or headphone mode maybe semantics and sorry if I'm confusing, but it's that starting attribute upon plug in that is not allowing me to use this device because since it's connected to that Apple Music app it won't allow me to connect to the FIIO app. I've been trying for 4 days to remedy it and no luck at all. I can add it and then it does a pair to BT which automatically gets turned OFF because the Apple Music app is already using it. That's the best I can explain it. i am in no man's land...

Nothing to be sorry for. I was just trying to help as best I could, but I'm stumped on this. As I said, I can get the BT11 to work with both my iPhone 15 Pro and Macbook Air M2. I usually have to wait until the red/blue flashing starts (which is supposed to be pairing mode) before my devices finally connect.

I have the most luck with leaving my TWS off, plugging the BT11, waiting for red/blue flashing to start and then turning on my TWS. Most of the time it connects, but sometimes there is no audio and I have to try again.

I see no reason to connect the BT11 to my phone's bluetooth as the app does nothing other than codec selection and I have all codecs turned on already. I have not been able to ever get a simultaneous connection (i.e. BT11 connected to phone bluetooth and also connected to my TWS), only one or the other.

Would turning off AppleMusic autoplay(∞) fix it? (guess what)

No. Sadly it doesn't. As soon as I plug it in the light turns green then the blue flash for reconnection and then an automatic airplay/headphone switch to FIIO BT11 (UAC1.0) where the normal default would be just to iPhone. This is extremely frustrating and it seems as if there is no answer. I literally think I may have to delete the Apple Music app from my phone, but with my library that isn't the most optimal solution....thanks for the suggestion.

My final post on this and thank you for your patience. I don't want to go overkill here, but it has to be something faulty with my BT11 because I plugged it in to an iPhone 15 Pro Max that I haven't traded in. I downloaded the Fiio Control App. Plugged in the BT11 and it's the same result. It automatically connects to Apple Music and changes the headphone function to the BT11. Wherein, I can't connect it to the Fiio App to even initialize a setup....so it has to be in the hardware of the unit and not at the phone level. Does anyone know how to do a complete reset outside of the device you are connecting to? Thanks again!

If you plug in the BT11 and after a while one of the BT11 colors is always on, then it means that the BT11 and your other device are connected.

You have to disconnect this device in order to connect to the APP.

The logic is the same for the sports watch, except that the sports watch has a display so you can see which device he is connected to. But with the display, the BT11 will not be so easy to use, we are making an illustration of the pictures so that you can understand it quickly!
