once again thank you! but i own the btr20pro for a long time and use it exactly as described, but it does not support APTX Adaptive! I want to use APTX Adaptive and thats why i asked initially, if someone already got rid of the bta30pro and got the BR because of the better (more stable) codec APTX adaptive. Ldac is better on paper, but you almost never get the highest kbps because even the slightest movement lets it drop to 660 or lower. Also LDAC consumes a LOT more battery power from the reciever and will drain it fast than APTX adaptive.
So my question if someone changed from BTA30pro to BR13 is still open. I cannot see any advantages of the BTA30pro as i only use it as a transmitter connected to my computer and the soundquality should be the exact same as the BR13 in this case. But i could use the more efficant codec.
You're right about that, too.

Since BR13 is based on the QCC5125, it will have aptX adaptive

Is it possible to connect wired headphones directly to this receiver? I don't see a headphone jack...
Hello friend
There are RCA outputs, so if you want to connect to other devices through the headphone jack, you'll need an RCA to 3.5mm adapter cable

If I use such an adapter, will I be able to use my headphones (DT990 Pro, 250 ohms) attached to the BR13 without an additional amplifier? Can the volume be adjusted in this configuration?

FiiO M11 Pro >> AptxHD >> FiiO BR13 >> RCA >> Onkyo 9110 >> ELAC Debut 2.0 B5.2 speakers

I am enjoying this config in my living room. This tiny receiver delivers very accurate, clean, tight sounds. I have been playing with the parametric EQ to tune to my taste. :)

Hi
I have my BR13 installed in my AV closet. It turns itself off after some period of inactivity.

I would like it to stay powered on at all times so that I dont’t have to open the closet to push buttons every time I need to reconnect.

Is there a config setting I can use?

Hi

Please connect the FIIO Control APP and Change the LCD OFF time to the first one.

Hi

Please connect the FIIO Control APP and Change the LCD OFF time to the first one.
Thanks. This addressed my problem :)

However, the Control app on my iPad is confusing as it shows “Always”.

It should say “Always On” as this image on Google shows.

Hello

My BR13 with FW 1.0.9 displays as
Code:
$ lsusb
Bus 007 Device 003: ID 0a12:4007 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Mpow HC5 Headset in charging mode - HID / Mass Storage
Bus 007 Device 002: ID 0a12:4010 Cambridge Silicon Radio, Ltd Mpow HC5 Headset in charging mode - USB Hub
and either Windows doesn't install driver for it
I looked at .inf file for the driver and it is expecting different ID
Is my BR13 different than standard one?
It works via bluetooth but via USB doesn't keep volume it goes silent every next track I play

I got one of these, but it had to be sent back as the retailer sent me one that was ‘previously cherished‘ instead of brand new. However, I did give it a try and was very impressed with the sound quality when connected to an old hi fi system.

After sending it back, I wanted to buy it again, but it’s been out of stock since then. I have considered a budget music streamer like a Wiim Mini, but I’m not sure if I really ‘need’ the quality of a wifi music streamer when something like the Fiio BR13 performs so well.

APTX Adaptive is a very welcome codec on the BR13. I’ve been using it on my BTR7, and it sounds great with pretty much zero glitching.
