After repeated and serious market research and study, we specially developed a Hi-Res Bluetooth Receiver, the BR13, in order to make it easier for you to get a product that better meets your needs with a budget offer price.

HiFi audio architecture, powerful configurations
The BR13 features a professional HiFi audio architecture that includes the Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth chip, ES9018K2M DAC, and TPA1882 op-amp. Moreover, there is a HiFi-level mute circuit, a crystal oscillator, 5 low-noise LDOs and a dedicated OVP power management chip to ensure stable and high-quality audio transmission. Thanks to its powerful configurations, the BR13 supports seven High-Res Bluetooth codecs including LDAC. USB DAC supports 96kHz/24bit input. Supports UAC1.0 for plug-and-play with PS5, Switch and other gaming devices.

Digital and analog outputs, compatible with many devices
The BR13 is compatible with many devices, and supports both digital and analog outputs and higher standard output indicators than average Bluetooth receivers. Both the optical and coaxial outputs support 96kHz/24bit and RCA output supports 2Vrms.

FIIO’s exclusive “Black Technology”, unique functions supported
Unique to the BR13 is the ability to upsample low sampling rate audio signals to high sampling rates up to 96kHz/24bit using any input, allowing you to get even closer to master-level sound quality.

What is more, the BR13 supports SPDIF conversion and SPDIF Bypass. The SPDIF conversion means that the optical/coaxial signals from a TV/set-top box/DVD player can be converted into optical/coaxial/RCA output for a home theater experience. The BR13 features a compact yet durable aluminum alloy body, combined with a specially-designed angled front panel. The custom, high-contrast and durable LCD screen allows you to easily see the codec, EQ, and other information with just a quick glance.

The BR13 comes with seven presets, including those for pop and classical music, that conveniently let you immediately enjoy various types of music. In addition, there are also two types of parametric EQs, which can be self-defined in the FIIO Control app to find the exact sound you are after.

The BR13 supports being connected to two Bluetooth transmitting devices at the same time. Conveniently and seamlessly switch between your phone, tablet, or other devices. I think there are a couple of features that are there:
1, fiber optic/coaxial BYPASS function, you can give the home equipment to expand more than one digital interface, this before many users mentioned, especially to connect the TV is very useful!
2, It also can connect two transmitter, you can directly switch the transmitter to switch quickly
3, global upscaling 96K 24BIT, no matter what the signal, can be upscaled to a higher frequency, to improve the sense of hearing
4, 7 kinds of EQ + 2 kinds of custom PEQ, pick your favorite music
5, Rich interface, can be connected to a lot of equipment, USB input, optical input and output, coaxial input and output functions, as well as RCA analog output, very powerful

Thank you FiiO for releasing this product we always need more!

Its looking an interesting product, also aptx-adaptive support which is good since aptx-LL is phasing out if not already.

But I do hope in the future your Bluetooth Receivers/Transmitters include more up to date technology, since we have several new LE audio based headphones arriving and a few already out, as well as mobile phones getting LE audio support also (Samsung S21-23 series) and (Google pixel phones 6?/7+) with Android 14 release.

Id like to see:

-Next generation BT codecs included with LE audios LC3 (its free) and also include LC3+(so gamers/movie fans can enjoy wireless sound) >LC3+ license cost though.
-Next generation Snapdragons S7 platform support so you have the latest Qualcomm Wireless sound technology that uses Wifi and LE audio BT technology.
-Good filtering on all inputs/outputs and separate power supply
-Good dacs, if you use ESS chipset include a dpll setting since many TVs from LG and Samsung won't work correctly without dp11 adjustment. See here
-aptx adaptive replacing aptx-LL or have both at least
-A feature similar to Creatives X5 BT dac/amp, a USB A host port which can double up to support USB BT dongles and then support any BT codec

Background of the BR13
The BR13 is FIIO’s product in the more niche market of HiFi Bluetooth transceivers. There are several reasons for its R&D.
(1) Because of the versatile functions (transmission, reception and DAC in one) and relatively high cost, the BTA30 Pro is not so affordable. It may be not so fair for those who only need either the Bluetooth transmission or reception. The BR13 is less than half the price of the BTA30 Pro, which can meet their needs with reduced costs.
(2) Most Bluetooth receivers are consumer-grade. They are relatively low-end with poor function and performance.
Though many Bluetooth receivers support LDAC on the current market, they are actually still consumer-grade products with worse compatibility and Bluetooth performance that are unable to meet the needs of audiophiles.
(3). Thanks to FIIO’s long-term accumulation in the field of HiFi Bluetooth (with advantages in R&D technology, production cost, etc.). The BR13 coming this time is superior in function, performance, and price over the same category of products.
Simply put, it’s a consumer-grade product manufactured by an experienced HiFi brand. It’s an expert.
