Seems like the AEs hit the dealers, guess we can expect first impressions by the weekend
No chance; the owners will all tell you that the ER300B’s need at least 2 sniffs and a month to burn in.Seems like the AEs hit the dealers, guess we can expect first impressions by the weekend
Damn you're right, what a rookie mistake of meNo chance; the owners will all tell you that the ER300B’s need at least 2 sniffs and a month to burn in.
Is your AE in route for delivery?Seems like the AEs hit the dealers, guess we can expect first impressions by the weekend

I should be getting mine in 1-2 weeks. Will be sent on thursday, since tomorrow is public holiday.
Therefore I'm 99% sure that I won't be the first to receive his unit.
With some luck it will still arrive in time for the weekend
These G73-R look juicy, Unfortunately they are pretty much impossible to getLast ones to arrive..
Will get to listen to them all in a couple of weeks when I'm back home from work.![]()
And they're tiny compared to the 6SN7's! Got these more for TM rather than Taks but will obviously do my due diligence. These G73-R look juicy, Unfortunately they are pretty much impossible to get
Personally I'm always wary on used tubes, for the reason you described. Therefore I also sold my own Elrogs dramatically under value back then, even though they were in top shape they were still used tubes.Considering picking up some used Elrogs for my Envy, but having read about the unreliability of the earlier earlier Elrog tubes is really got me on the fence with it. There would be no warranty, if they went wrong next week there would be no comeback which would be galling considering they are close to £1K. That said I note new ones only have a one year warranty anyways, were I to be spending around £1.5K on a new set I my expectation would be that they would last me many years. Wondered your thoughts on buying used tubes.
I would avoid the older ones with the golden base. I bought some and was advised (here) about the unreliability and to simply not to use them.Considering picking up some used Elrogs for my Envy, but having read about the unreliability of the earlier earlier Elrog tubes is really got me on the fence with it.
