LOTR:FOTR, the full length, 3-hour score is superb.
Also Star Wars VI. The others are nice too, especially the Fifth, but none can beat the Sixth, with the choir on Battle of Endor II.
No one mentioned the Matrix scores. I like them all, but most of all the third one: Neodämmerung with the choir: ahhh, eargasmic.

Must deduct points for Jedi Rocks

A lot of good music mentioned here. My favorite movie soundtrack is from the film "America Beauty" music by Thomas Newman. I hear the music again and again on television and in other films...

Just picked up 28 Days Later, The Village, and Requiem for a Dream thanks to this thread. Never been a huge fan of Soundtracks but if done right they are an engaging listen. I picked up Blade Runner awhile back and have enjoyed it.

So far, quite a few hits for LOTR (FOTR), Star Wars, Trainspotting. The first two are unsurprising, really. Some Blade Runner and the Graduate. I can imagine the High Fidelity soundtrack would be great.

I'll add...The Godfather, Schindler's List. Juno. Gosh, I love that album.

What about musical OSTs? We have Grease so far. Moulin Rouge, anyone?
