Fake Sony MDR V900 Headphones. With pics

i bought these on ebay for 30 euro only i figured after that they might be fake

heres the page
eBay.ie: NEW sony MDR-V900HD DJ Monitor Headphones V900 V900HD (item 320375165959 end time 22-Jun-09 19:21:13 BST)

anyway i got them this morning and i still dont know if they are real or not.

any other info:
i dont know much about sound quality but their not great, i think
they seem to be fairly light and loose on my head
the soldering job isnt great
the weren't workin when i first tried them
the box says made in china and has french and english instructions although theres no typing errors

what d'ya think?

Mine did that also, they may be real. Mine had a -very- warm sound, and tended to be hot on the ears after awhile. very high sensitivity, too.

Are those wire splices? perhaps its a bad refurb job.

i never buy anything from the internet,because i'm affraid that someone will sell me something not good.
I suggest you before you buy something from ebay etc.always try if you can find it elsewhere(not from internet)

At that price i would think they are fake, the chinese trade forums are full of them.
The wiring is a BIG giveaway, Sony would not have bare wire open like that or spice cables QC would pick that up.
The ones on the trade forums are very good copies , may be impossible to tell , except that they will sound bad usually.

I tend to avoid even looking at internet, just in case!

i dont really know... there is only 3 tiny wires soldered onto a tiny board and reinforced with glue. i dont know what you mean by splices, but i can actually touch the copper wire if thats what you mean

They look exactly like the pair I used to own, they look pukka to me.

yep those are fake because it is suppose to be black, not purple when u shine a light on it

To me its look fake... Bcoz real sony headphone or all sony headphones are made in thailand... You can watch hifiguy528 youtube channel because he has many sony headphones... Hopes this helps ^^
