Extremely Limited 64 Audio x iFi Audio collaboration for Robb Report

Jokes aside, this is a project that both brands' teams worked on for a few months. The value of the custom A18t, a quicker build time (in the midst of holiday influx), the grey SPC ipx/4.4 cable (which isn't available outside of this project), the exclusivity of the updated Diablo units and our collective time and efforts make this something we're proud to offer. As fans of great sound and top-of the line audio products we wanted to share this project with our head-fi community.

just slightly curious.... if you go to the mfg sites the IEMs are $3K and the Diablo is $1.3K .... thats only $4.3K... why the markup to $6K... something very wrong with this deal ..... who's reputation is getting ruined here... if any of these gets sold just ask what were they smoking and stay away from it... drugs can be dangerous in the wrong hands...

The products in their standard configuration are indeed available on our respective websites. The bundle is unique in some of the ways we described earlier.

Charge flagship prices, bring flagship performance.
They are bringing flagship performance for flagship prices, baring in mind “flagship performance“ in most of the audiophile world typically means the same or often lower performance than quite modestly priced gear.
oh lord, what have we done to enable this pricing...
Dear me, where to start. For nearly half a century you’ve (not “you” personally but the audiophile community) bought cables for hundreds/thousands of dollars with no better performance than ~$20 cables. For 40 years or more you’ve paid thousands of dollars for amps with the same or worse performance than amps costing 10 or 20 times less. For 25 years or so you’ve paid thousands of dollars for DACs that are really just ~$50 DACs in a more expensive case/enclosure, as well as thousands for DACs that have worse performance than even the very cheapest consumer DACs. For roughly 20 years you’ve commonly paid several times more for Hi-Rez audio content, that actually has the same “Rez” as good ol’ 16/44. I could go on.

Not sure what’s so bad about this product compared to many audiophile products? Paying a couple of extra grand for a gold plaque and exclusivity doesn’t seem too bad to me, pretty much “par for the course” and actually very reasonable compared to quite a few other audiophile products.

Please do not take offense but seriously, N30LE + Amber Pearl @ $13,000/- looks like a better deal for the way they have explained the bundle.

Does a SPC + Quicker Delivery warrant an extra $1,700?

Have you made any upgrades to the parts inside the Diablo that would explain the extra $$$

As I mentioned in detail earlier, Amber Pearl combo includes new technologies, not an IEM which was 20% off Black Friday and was on the market for many years. Please compare both products, features and technologies in a matrix. Which one introduces more new tech? Which one is rated consistently as the best in its respective category? I owned the best gear and can also testify to this. Where is the new engineering in A18t? A minor change in Diablo merits flagship price?

Charge flagship prices, bring flagship performance. The price ceiling on ‘flagship’ is a sad state of affairs, but I want the best as some others do in this hobby. I’m not willing to create a company and compete (it takes no skill to whine and complain about high prices). So I will accept such cost for ‘the best’, as long as it is truly the best (to me).

Read up on Amber Pearl Combo, then read up on ‘Robb Report’ Edition. One of these products is engineered at the bleeding edge of performance. The other has a gold plaque, intended to profit off of uninformed consumers. Like a sleazy car dealership.

If 64Audio created a brand new IEM, representing the future generation of iems, and iFi had a new product (or even existing retuned one) for such an iem then this would be palatable. Such an exercise would be an engineering showcase, albeit expensive but at least genuine attempt in creating the best.

Think about the intents of both products (Amber Pearl and Robb Report) yourself and arrive at your own conclusion. 👍
I ditto you brother 🙏
