Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

I've been making a list as I read the thread over the past week or so for me to purchase some once I'm done with the stock tips:

• Spinfit CP240
• Spinfit CP100
• Spiral Dot++
• Xelastec
• azla sedna
• azla crystal
• Final Audio Type E
• Comply TSX-400

I just bought IE600 and I feel like with the stock tips I can't get as good seal as I get with my Final Audio E4000 (with FE stock tips) but my FE tips are not compatible with IE600.

Some described the sound isolation as "Top notch even with vent". Sadly that's not my experience

Agree, their isolation is mediocre.

Got my IE600 about a week ago, here are some of my impressions:

• Excellent level of detail and resolution, on par with my previous IEM in this price range (Moondrop Variations, which is 1DD+2BA+2EST)
• Treble is definitely emphasized, but not sibilant for me personally. Its U-shaped tonality is engaging and fun without overwhelming the mids. I have experimented with some parametric EQ to bring the treble and bass down a touch for when I’m in the mood for that.
• Soundstage and imaging is superb (for an IEM). Instruments have good separation and clear placement. I’m very easily able to pinpoint where sounds come from while playing Valorant.
• Comparing it once again to the Variations, I’m so glad this IEM has body in the lower mids/upper bass. I felt like synthesizers in some of the music I listen to had some life sucked out of them on the Variations due to the dip in the FR in that area, but that is not the case here.
• Fit and comfort are excellent. I have worn these for 6 hours with minimal fatigue. That being said, I use Sennheiser IE Pro silicone eartips instead of the stock ones. They sound identical to my ear and retain the filters while being of thicker material. I was able to get a seal with the stock tips, but they simply did not provide enough support.

Update on my tips journey - the Spiral Dot++ arrived yesterday and was just able to play around with it today.

Sorry to say, they are not for my ears. They might belong to my other IEMs, but not with my IE600 - if you think the IE600 is U shaped - the Dot++ will extremely push mids down, give a congested soundstage and say goodbye to clarity, it's gone with the Dot++.

I'm sticking with my Azla SednaEarfit Standard - which makes the IE600 almost non U shaped (very mild dip now if I may say so).

Tip rolling with these sounds like it can be a nightmare for some so I'm hoping things go well.

Gizaudio has really good reviews. It's almost all one guy (Timmy from the IE600 review) but I saw at least one video with a different guy so I'm not sure how many people use the same channel. I think Timmy does some of the best IEM reviews but he seems to favor vocals more than other reviewers so take that into account.

Reveiws are for reference only, just believe your ear. Happy with the sound then buy it.

I agree but unfortunately not everyone can go down to their local audio shop and try stuff out. Reviews can be extremely helpful so people aren't buying and returning tons of products. If you find some good reviewers that have similar tastes or libraries it can make blind buying stuff much easier.

What do you guys think about such adapters like this one so that we can use normal replacement cables? Has anyone tried it?

I got the straight one (MMCX F TO IE900 7) from this seller and they seem to work as expected.

If the cable already has an angled connector, I feel like the extra length actually benefits the fit, because the IE 600 are rather small.
When the cable has a straight connector, the combined connector gets a little long though.

I bought it mostly to use them with my UTWS5 and for that the fit seems near perfect for my ears.

Just to let you know I am a BIG fan of Sennheiser products. I've sold most of my gear but kept all Sennheiser headphones.
There is no need to include 50 tips. What I am trying to say is that the new silicon tips that comes with IE600 are very cheap quality, I feel that I can rip them off by just pulling them out of my ears. The silicon tips from IE800 were just perfect fit and quality. The IE600 foam tips are excellent.

I still think that IE600 is absolutely must have IEM in my collection and I would love to try IE900 one day.

A tip for others who might be tiprolling: use the end of your fingernail to shimmy the bottom of the tip (where it meets base of the black nozzle) up the nozzle until it slides off sufficiently easily.

This way you're less likely to tear the tip where it meets the "umbrella" portion.
