Exceptional in Every Detail: Say Hello to the IE 600

My IE 600 Made in Ireland and I've noticed on shell doesn't has laser print IE 600 like this. What's that mean? :D
Nada. It's still an IE 600 :) Sometimes you'll see components undergo minor cosmetic changes (cases, cables, etc) when it comes to logos, badges, embossings, etc. There's usually a reason but it's always boring and never about sound or quality.

EDIT: Welcome to the #IE600Club !

Anyone feel the sound 0f ie600 too aggressive? It's has top notch clarify for sure, but after listening for 30min it just feel tired for me. I do find the vocal too forward to my taste.

I am coming from fiio fd5, campfire holocene.
I’ve been looking at the Holocene and IE600 to see which I’d prefer. Is there anything else you see between them? Have you listened again and are you still fatigued?

Mine is made in ireland also & only the RH one has the engraving the LH doesn't.
Must have been Friday arvo when mine were made & the person who was assembling them was thinking about the weekend.

This makes it hard to tell genuine from fake they should always be made the same considering the price paid.

Respectfully disagree. I've shut down millions (literally millions) of counterfeit listings and trained US customs on illicit copies. There are 3 steps to virtually eliminate getting a counterfeit and it doesn't involve inspecting components (leave that to the product managers and lawyers):

1) Buying new? Only buy from a trusted Sennheiser authorized retailer
2) Buying used? Make sure the seller can verify the above. If they can't? Stay away.
3) If the price is too good to be true, it probably is

If a product was counterfeit and it is already in your hands, it's too late and you'll probably never see your money again.

Do the above and you never have to worry about it.

Someone needs to shut down aliexpress then because it is full of ie300s using sennheiser advertising to sell iems for $59 us. Where are the lawyers stopping that. No disrespect but products should all look the same so the consumer can buy second hand or new & tell by the look of the product. I know this problem is occurring with a lot of things take the Sony ier-z1r cables a lot of fake ones came out but they could be spotted with a keen eye against the original.

It is very expensive and resource intensive to try to catch them all. You can only chase so many rabbits. The bottom line is this: if there is no demand for the fakes or no demand for the product they are trying to counterfeit then the counterfeits start to dry up. Only buy from an authorized source.

Why on Earth someone would put a questionable foreign object inside their body is beyond me but 🤷

Pre-ordered from Sennheiser directly. I think this will be a dynamic driver IEM that finally sticks with me. :)

Thanks for the input, will look into this.

What is this cable you're using with yours? Seriously impressed with ie600 and potentially looking to pair a different cable for it.

Its a Null-Audio Symphonym cable

I haven't found any tips in package comfortable and well sealing. Best performing are foam L ones, but they are short (maybe influenced by some TWS product?) and for now I switched to Comply Audio Pro (the round ones). These are great for me at least sealing-wise. Also looking around to find silicone ones, best try so far was ones from Audiosense T800.

Will look into this as well. Thanks!

it’s still to early to say for sure, but I think these could better all rounder than the IE900.
Ones things certain for me though, vocals are better on IE600.
IE900 has a bigger soundstage, the slightly recessed vocals create a more open, larger stage. which gives them a more unique sound.
In pure accuracy terms, I’d give the IE600 the edge here though, for pure enjoyment, it would literally come down to a track by track bases.

Received the IE600 this morning and absolutely loving it so far. My other IEMs are all sub-£200, mostly sub-£100 so it easily stands out from that crowd with the detail retrieval and excellent bass response.
Happy with the stock cable for now and the stock tips are comfortable enough but as mentioned by others they are a bit thin so I'll be trying some alternatives.

I think I'm going to stop torturing myself and I'm going to delete myself from this thread for a while...

Any MMCX cable is IE300/600/900 compatible by simply sanding the top plastic of the connectors a bit.
It took me a couple of minutes with a NiceHCK cable to be able to connect it to an IE300 with no problem.
