I posted our Headfonia IE 600 review last night, here you go

https://www.headfonia.com/sennheiser-ie-600-review/

The precision and detail retrieval is good and totally on par with this price segment. Of course, it’s not as refined and outspoken as the IE 900, but the IE 600 makes up for this with its natural delivery and excellent stereo imaging.
Why so? Isn't Sennheiser capable enough to make a model to compete (or complement) with their own higher-end offering at a lower price after an entire year? Isn't it what R&D is all about?

According to your previous reviews, it always seems like expensive = better, even if this kind of contradictions occur:

"It’s not as neutrally tuned as the reference IE 900 is but it’s also much more neutral compared to the fun IE 300. However I do feel it’s closer to the neutral side than it is to the fun side, but this in a musical and slightly warmer way with a smooth delivery. (though the IE 600 is not full warm sounding IEM). The IE 600 is very natural and effortless sounding and it’s actually quite linear (see the bass part later) and balanced."
So, the IE900 with clearly more scooped mids than the IE600 is now more "neutrally tuned" and "reference"?

What is "reference" for you, guys? The actual IEM response or their price tag? Maybe the right words to not upset your sponsors or manufacturers who lend you their products?

Hell, even Sennheiser sells the IE600 as the versatile option with neutral tuning...

Technically the mids are on the same level as the bass section. Good, but not as pronounced as in the IE 900. All-in-all it’s a great mix of technicalities and musical fun, and that makes the mid section addictive and very pleasing to the ear.
Again, excuse me? The mids are cleary so much more pronounced in the IE600, how they could be "not as pronounced as in the IE900"?

I don't think Sennheiser would punish you for a bit more honesty, on the contrary, you would gain much more credibility across the entire community.

Why is the price of IE600 more expensive than that of ie800s

I wouldn't think of them in succession or hierarchy as that was a different era and platform. The listening experience is different enough to disconnect them at the hip.

Or a continued mistreatment to the European public (price, availability...), even from a European brand.
I have no insight into Sennheiser or any other audio company, but I would be surprised if any company would intentionally “mistreat” any potential customers. It’s all about the dollars (or Euros, or Pounds, or Yen, or RMB…). They will serve the markets where they can make the most profit in the long run (selling price, taxes, marketing benefits, whatever…).

But I really do understand, it can feel like something, even when it really isn’t there. If you feel that it is about mistreatment, ask yourself why a company would intentionally mistreat customers? As a customer you might not like something, but that’s not the same as mistreatment by a company…

Nice to see some first impressions. Currentely still loving my IE900 but really interested in the IE600. Is there anything you think the IE600 is actually better at? Probably gonna order a pair anyways sooner or later because its super hard to find a place to test IEMs here and i really want to try out which of them im gonna like more.
I think the upper-mids on the IE600 sounded better than on the IE900. Vocals especially sounded closer and more intimate, and they're clearer with good definition and a pretty even natural tone. The IE900 has greater resolving capability, and layering + soundstage felt bigger and more precise. But to my ears, the IE900 sounded overall more towards becoming U-shaped, with its vocals a bit veiled and less highlighted. Both the treble also have different feel to it. I hazard to guess due to their differing filtering means?. As well as the bass, being tighter and better-defined on the IE900. I think the differences could be interesting enough to justify having both in a collection, especially since/if you already liked the Sennheiser house sound :)

They say pre-orders are live today, but I see no pre-order available on their website. Maybe it's Asia only pre-order since they are the ones getting it months before everyone else.
This is what happens when promotion gets over cooked! I have 5 Sennheiser iems (starting from the 'old' IE80) and 4 headphones including the TOTL. I am in Europe but I am told that I have to struggle to pre-order it and that it is first launched in China. Come on!
