Did anyone got a chance to compare IE600 to Meze Advar? Want to get a mid range single DD IEM, and zeroed in on these two. Waiting for real-time impressions and comparison between these.

There is a comparison in the Advar thread.
In short: Advar thicker and more musical, IE600 thinner and clearer.

Yup. Went through it. All the impressions are through M17 DAP of yours right?

No, most of the listening when writing this lines was done with Cayin N8ii in various modes.
Of course the impressions remain the same with other DAPs too like the M17 and DX240.

Update: target pre-order date for IE 600 in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Africa is May 12th, with shipping release on May 24th.

If this changes we will provide an update here in the thread. Thx for your patience!
Hi Eric, I can see some UK stores have started taking pre-orders on the IE600 - have they jumped the gun on the May 12th date you mention? Or have pre-orders opened earlier than expected? thanks

They are selling it on a EU site with no mention of a pre order of some sorts, wondering if they are authorised dealers and actually have it in stock?

Here in Spain it has been on sale for 2 weeks now, without pre-order.

Dealers have been taking orders in various ways; "email to be notified", face-to-face while in the store, etc. What you'll see on May 12 is the opening for pre-order on the Sennheiser UK website, for example. There are only so many to go round in the first wave of production (up against a mountain of demand) which has made it a bit more difficult to predict where and how many will arrive and when. We sincerely thank everyone for their patience as the details continue to unfold. It will be worth the wait.

Thanks, that makes sense. It's clear there'll be some waiting even if a pre-order is placed, as the demand gets worked through. Good for you guys for having a successful product on your hands.

Well mine arrived today & I must say I am very happy with the sound they produce so far.
I have tried them with spinfit cp100 tips & sony hybrid tips but so far my favourite tip that really open the ie600 up i find are the azla sedna earfit tips. They produce very good base, mids & treble, very similar to my ier-m9 to my ears. Mine were made in Ireland & I'm having a BLAST with them if you get my drift.
Can't wait to get the ie900s next, maybe when sennheiser brings the price back to earth. 🙃

I had the opportunity to try the "pro series" IE tips with the IE 600, and they seem to allow a more reliable fit that the stock tips while being otherwise mostly identical (if that's what you're going for). This is because the material is thicker than the stock tips, albeit still thinner than most.

My impression of the sound of the IE 600 so far is that they are balanced enough that very little stands out immediately, other than somewhat exaggerated sparkle/shimmer/air. I think they do bass very well; bass is plentiful, but not in a way that interferes with the clarity or the tonality of the mids.

Are these "pro series" tips the stock tips of IE 500 pro/IE 400 Pro?
