New Head-Fier
(First of all, don't mind the new profile. I have asked around on Reddit to no response so I thought this would be the best site.)
I have a pair of ER4XRs and I love them. But recently, my pair has been cutting out. About 9 months back, I sent them back to Ety to fix for the same issue, which I think they just replaced the cable with. However, with light use (commuting, study, music production) it's started happening again. Spending either £40 on the proprietary cable that'll likely break again or sending back a second time doesn't seem like a good idea.
Any way to get a cable (preferably with a volume rocker) that's higher quality and won't break? I don't want to spend over like £100 on a custom cable. Is the best idea to just look to a custom maker like ClieO, or just get the MMCX Etymotic adapter and a HM5 cable or something. Thanks! (3.5mm btw)
