I've been using the Etymotic ER-6 for about 7 years now, solely for watching movies on planes. They never seem to block out much sound at all (easily hear people next to me, sound engine, etc), not matter how I deep I try to put them. (Maybe I have weird ear canals or something..)
Basically, I am wondering if the Logitech Ultimate Ears 700 would provide better isolation (my only concern, not sound quality). Also, I seem have to replace the foam eartips from Etymotic every 3-4 airline trips, which costs me $20 with shipping for 5 pair, which is getting expensive (after a few uses, they no longer expand and block less sound). I have the option of getting the Logitech Ultimate Ears 700 for about $100. Does it provide better isolation? Would I still have to keep replacing the eartips?
Thanks for any suggestions.
