I suspect the reference to small size perhaps was meaning the hole in the middle, as etys have narrow nozzle.

I'd go with your instinct if I was you, but don't forget they insert quite deeply.

Mark, I'd be interested in a comparison with Massdrop's version of RE-00... I love the signature of those so I wonder how much better the Ety's would be.
