I have another oil to use.
Maybe this one might be stronger in use. I'll use this one next week and see.

designed HE-R10P.
It's about 6 months old now, that design.

When I had the R10P about a year ago now. It was the black headband. They were comfortable. The best thing Hifiman did was having Velcro earpads and a pretty decent cable for the R10P

Yeah, that's stunning alright... because they're mixing two clashing shades of brown.

At that price, I would expect some 'good design', not an obviously recycled headband.
It's speaking 3 different design languages.
It's just a mess.
D+ for effort.

I wished Hifiman did not copy Sony. I wished that they had a similar or different wood cut but slighty imitating Sony if they desperately needed to, to reach that sound signature.

Owell, it's unfortunate.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I think they are gorgeous. Just beautiful looking.

Wish they come up with a nice looking headband though. Still not a fan.

I doubt they will sell more than 10 of them. Price needs to go down.....
He basically giving them away to those influencers forcing them to handout positive reviews. I bet they sell plenty of those.

I must admit I am curious to hear it. I have never liked the hifiman sound. I have owned the Susvara, and others. IMHO- all to thin for my taste. I prefer a bit more robust. Many say this R10 is more robust sounding...-- so I am curious to hear it..... But since I will not pay 5K, I guess I am doing myself no favors by doing so.

Weird how different perception people have in hifi. Definitely don’t think the gold-drivers from HIFIMAN planars sound thin..

STAX sound thin, HE1000 and LCD-X too.

And the ES-R10 sounds lovely

To be honest, the R10P is pretty good. Smooth, relaxing, modern sounding.
I think @Ciggavelli will attested to this. I think he likes his alot.

It is not better than Susvara, because it is not open and need of power which makes some headphone sound great. It can be somewhat said, it is a closed back version of a Susvara. Minus a few things here and there.

The proper price should of been around $1999.

Owell.

I must admit I very much enjoyed the Susvara when I got a chance to borrow them for a couple days. Only out of a GSX-mini, too.

The price and reputation of HiFiMan “quality” kept me from buying a pair. ES R10 is a great headphone for a great price.

With all of Hifiman jokes and there's about a thousand of them. Hifiman has a very strong line up of powerful headphones to compete with all brands and crushing many in their path. Hard to dismiss this.

HE500 (obtained legendary status)
HE6 (obtained legendary status)
JADE 1 (obtained legendary status)
Sundara (best affordable headphone next to 6XX)
HE1000
Susvara (Top 3 modern flagship)
Arya
SR-JR
SR-SR
Ananda

And many small fish like HE6SE, HE1000SE, HE400SE, and all the SE and XX models pretty much.
