energie, he has to declare the full value on the invoice. Both for insurance and because doing otherwise would be ilegal.

From my experience dealing with U.S. vendors, some of them "may" declare the goods as a "gift". Then the customs folks might not charge you the import tax. It might not work though.

Ordering stuff to Non-CONUS continents, we always have to add more $$$ to the price tag before clicking at the order button. It'd be nice if FexEx can ship to APO address (with conditions applied).
