Speaking of mixes, I just uploaded one this morning.   I scrapped the first couple versions because I'd think I had a good mix and I'd come back from my training and just completely hate it.  I also wanted to get some glitchop in, but I couldn't get the transitions.  They kept kicking my butt so I gave up on glitch for now but that was only because I was getting impatient and wanted this mix up now lol.
 
The flow I was going for was something like this:
Light and High Energy >> Dark >> Calming >> Mix of Light & Dark >> Light >> Smooth

^ All depends, some labels don't release their tunes to retailers for a few weeks/months/ever. I like going through Addictech and Horizons personally, but I really haven't been doing much digging. I actually signed up for a Horizons subscription service, 40 tracks through out the year of my choice for 36 bucks. And most of the tunes will not be released in their store, or other digital retailers for a few weeks. So it's cheap dubplates the way I look at it :) Love Nickbee and Amoss too. 

But as for retailers, iTunes has quite the selection and is decently priced. Juno is similar to Beatport to my understanding. I honestly just stick to Beatport and label digging when I come across one that's worth digging through.

iTunes, actually. Prices kill Beatport and 256 AAC is as good as 320 MP3. Only thing I get from Beatport are Beatport exclusives at this point. iTunes gets 90%+ of the EDM I want.

I'd still recommend 320/ALAC/AIFF/WAV/FLAC if you're DJing and playing out.

I mean exactly that. If to your ears 320 MP3 sounds better then purchase 320 MP3. Crystal clear.

If I thought FLAC sounded better (by using my ears) than 320 MP3 and someone on the internet said otherwise, I'd obviously be going off what I've heard rather than a comment on the net. Just my $0.02.

Eh. The only thing that really matters when DJing is a consistent bitrate, IMO.
 
Make sure they're ALL 320, ALL AAC, etc. Mixing is when it gets obvious if bitrates are different.
