  Siavash Amini - Subsiding

This album takes my breath away.

Good stuff.   Glad I'm not the only one posting chill stuff.   Agree on Bandcamp.   Great musicians and great place to find HQ recordings.

That being said, Sizzlebird is coming out with a new album.   Only 1 song for preview right now but I like the extra emphasis he put on the violin.   Looking forward to hearing the "mysterious" tracks.

  Hi! Does this count?...

Hello, yes both those songs count as electronic music, AKA electronica. Nice selections, too. I actually heard that Zero 7 track on a DJ set over a decade ago. Your selections were downtempo / ambient and deep house / vocal house (respectively).

Electronic music in general consists of all music that is made with electronic technology, or at least of which a good percentage of it is. For example many electronic artists artists sample elements of rock, jazz, classical and vocals in their music, but it's can still be considered electronic music because it uses a large percentage of synths, drum machines, DSP (software based effects) or samplers. However thus being said, I would definitely have to say that the definition of electronic music is in some cases becoming a slippery slope, with artists who were primarily another genre releasing songs that are heavily based upon electronic instruments (Radiohead and Madonna for example who were commonly pop / rock but released some EDM / experimental).

Electronic music can be considered as a sub-universe. It's like it's own universe inside our universe, with over 200 styles (and that's only taken from the Wiki article which may be outdated and doesn't include some of my favorites), and has been going since the late 50's in it's most primitive form, and now with probably hundreds & thousands of hours consisting with countless tens & thousands of artists across the globe. Some of which style have their own sub genre, like how trap can be considered a sub genre of dubstep, and how footwork can be considered a sub genre of EDM. Of which EDM is the most popular in current days, however many of us fail to realise that it doesn't have to have a beat or a melody in order to be considered electronic music. It just has to be made from a majority (+/-) of electronic instruments. So many beatless genres also exist, such as ambient, drone & experimental noise.

You may notice I mention more than one genre for each song - that is because a good deal of electronic music in general is actually a hybrid of one or more genres. Additionally, there really is nobody to make the 'final call' of which genre a song actually is; one website can label the same album a different genre than another; the artist can create a song with one genre or none in mind, but end up with a combination of genres so the actual genre can still be open for interpretation.

The last I think the group K Theory was mentioned, was back in 2012.
At the time they produced mainly glitch-hop.
Now they do a lot of remixes of popular hip hop tracks, as well as originals with and without hip-hop vocalist Malcolm.
BPM 100, 110, 128, 140, 150

K Theory is a 3 part group of
Malcolm Anthony (Vocals, Writing)
Dustin Musser (Production, also under solo project Frost Raven) https://soundcloud.com/frost-raven
Dylan Lewman (Production, also under solo project deelanZ) https://soundcloud.com/deelanz

I'm just gonna post some of my favorite songs, now.

Also you all should really check out Son Lux's 'Lanterns' (2013).
You can find a lot of his music on BandCamp: https://sonlux.bandcamp.com

Been playing Martin Nonstatic's new release continuously today. At first I found it no less than dispensable but something really relaxing about it made me keep spinning the record. It's really good and definitely above and beyond his previous releases imo.
