Yes, there's the cost of the room but there's also the cost of catering from Second Cup as well. Further, I got a room that's only for $50 for 4 hours, so there's that cost. Hm. I guess I wasn't thinking really. I could say the cost is $7.50/person but I just don't like dealing with change so my mind immediately flips between $5 and $10.
Also, I don't know the cost of food at that Second Cup yet. I called them but I still don't really understand but I'll talk to the manager tomorrow morning (w00t for no class!). I think it's something along the lines of ordering stuff from the nearby market and they supply it to us. I'm not really sure how it works. Maybe we could just eat beforehand and save the trouble? Can you guys go 4 hours without food? Bring a bag lunch? Again, I'll call them tomorrow and see how it goes, but that only adds to the cost. It's up to you if you want the Second Cup catering, but personally I probably won't eat there. My friend has a restaurant not too far away (then again, not too close if you're walking in the snow) and I'll probably eat there.
As far as it looks, we could probably get away with paying $5 and then getting your own food or what not. I was kind of zoned out when the Second Cup girl was explaining how the stuff goes because I don't want to get into the hassle of considering what they've got and picking the right one, confirming if you guys are down with it, etc.. If anything, there's the City Centre right across the street if really want good selection and a bargain on food. Also, Second Cup has some treats in their little store right next door. That helps keep the food away from the gear.
Does everyone know how to get there? I'll post the EPL's directions of how to get there using the bus, and I'll get a map or two as well. LRT should be pretty straightforward as well, but I can help out there as well.
SUMMARY:
- Cost going from $10 to $5
- Feed yourself (possibly)
- I'll post directions
edit: Okay, I can't post directions unless I know where you're coming from, so instead I posted 2 maps. One is from
http://maps.edmonton.ca (an awesome resource) and number (2) is from Mapquest. You can even check out the aerial view on the Mapquest one, and the number (1) map has a circle around the location!
