Black Diamond has landed and is awaiting competition from Schiit and Headamp.

I hope it blows the Bryston BHA-1 out of the water!

Don't have much to compare to presently. My GS-X2 should be shipping in a week or so. My initial thoughts on the BD was that it is bright, but either I've grown used to it, or it has settled down. I tried one of my other DACs running through it I know to be warmer and it did change accordingly. It is likely the most honest amp I've had to date.

Just heard from Doug that he is down to his last Black Diamond.  If any of you are on the fence, now is the time for action.  Like all his previous projects, once this run is gone there will be no more.

No, sorry. Too bassy for my taste.

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but are there any owners of the discontinued L-2 out there who are willing to part sell it? I've put a WTB on the classified for months but no one seems to offer anything. I'm sure it's because it's a decent amp, and there aren't that many L-2 owners out there in the first place...

After months of searching in vain, I was finally able to acquire a used L-2 at the courtesy of Spritzer. While all L-2 were made for 100-120V use, this one's power supply was converted and upgraded by Spritzer and Doug so that it is compatible with 220-240V in my country. I will test it with my HD800 tomorrow and share my impressions, although I'm already excited about it.
